Honestly when I heard this I felt bad and that I had took advantage of this guy. But the more I thought about it I said wait a minute, I paid him what he wanted for the bike and it wasn't might fault he didn't do his research until after the fact. Hey I got lucky and was at the right place and right time and got a deal on a KO.

This was your conscience talking to you. But then you argued it down so you'd feel better. We do it all the time when we go against our better nature.

If you felt a little bad you should have given a few hundred dollars or a grand or more more after you sealed the deal. There is nothing wrong with that.

However, you didn't full knowing the potential value.

I love how everyone thinks the add was a scam, haha. I know tons of people that have scored on craigslist paying low prices for good condition cars or bikes. It does happen and more than you probably think. Hell I got a complete, titled with really good compression kz1000 for $500 this year. Did I say "no no, let me give you $1000. $500 is just to low." I said how firm are you on price? Ok here's the 5 bones, thank you very much. Oil, plugs, battery, fresh gas and Vroom it runs nicely.
