New starter button broken? Bike wont turn over
« on: July 07, 2012, 03:14:59 PM »
Hi I have been having some weird issues with my bike. A few weeks back I came to a stop light and the bike died and was unable to restart it. I know the battery is in good shape. I think the issue is the starter button since im getting power to the neutral light but none to the headlight. I disasemmbled the right starter switch and cleaned it out. They switch i bought new about 2 years ago.  All the internal seem to be functioning and not broken. Any thoughts?

thanks!

Can you bump start it? I had a similar issue with my 73 CB750 and turned out to be a broken solder connection in the right hand switch. If your switch is anything like mine you won't see it unless disassemble it.
