cb550 BACKFIRE!!!!

I just finished rebuilding my carbs found out that it has 100 mains and 38 idles.... PO put headers and pods on it.... The bike loves to backfire out of the #1 cylinder and it drives me crazy!! since its loud as hell comeing out out of the header.. what should i do first??? and i already checked the gap from the valve and the rocker..?

First thing I would do is put the stock intake back on. Or have you all ready?Have you check the timing?

stock airbox and airfilter..........then a carb synch.  It'll work wonders

The only problem is i dont have a stock airbox for it

Cheaper to get one from a member here or a reproduction one than it is to tear all your hair out and get a wig.
