cb750 test ride tonight
« on: July 09, 2012, 08:23:28 PM »
well i got my cb750 with 836 kit a little road worthy tonight and by road worthy i mean just enough to go down the street about a mile. it's a 75 cb750 with 836 sitting on a amen savior frame with a 10 over front end let me tell you what this bike is a little scary. when it wants to go it wants to go. i think i'm really going to enjoy this the carbs need worked over it runs good when the choke is on a little bit.i need to hook up the front brake and tail/brake light. and a few other small things i'm a very happy camper right now  ;D

I've done a lot of things in my life that I'm not proud of...and the things I AM proud of, "are disgusting"

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Early stock carbs like the ones you have don't like pods, its possible, but you may be chasing a tune on that thing for quite a while. Velocity stacks would help a lot.

There is a ton of information/posts about running pod filters.

i've been doing some research on the carbs from what i have found it says if you run the pods and drag pipes to use 125 jets which i have i have the breadbox breather for it but some of the rubber carb mounts are rotted.it runs good with the choke on a little bit.so i will mess around with it and see what happens.
the brown car is a 63 corvair old turbo car the blue one is a 1960 bel air 2 door. i don't know why i end up with old bikes and old cars.the bel air just got a new engine in it. a whopping 250 straight six purrs like a kitten it was a genuine barn find.my son bought it from a old man it was in his barn for the last 30 years started and ran but some of the lifters where flat it was cheaper to replace the 235 than to try and find parts for it.and when you did find engine parts it was outrageous.

That is a Biscayne or belAir, I think the Impala had 6 tail lights. We had a 1960 Biscayne as a boy. Come to think of it, its probably not a Biscayne as they were sans chrome, so must be a BelAir. Those wings were DANGEROUS to playing children.

PS: I just read James post where he discloses BelAir.

the biscayne didn't have crap for chrome just bumpers grill no trim bel air little more impala a lot more the thing about the biscayne and bel airs is there is not a lot of them because people turned them into impalas.
