New to the Forum and a new CB750 owner
« on: July 10, 2012, 09:41:15 AM »
Hey guys and gals just picked up my first 1978 cb750 for 1500 bux. Bike runs really strong but needs some tlc in the clean up and repaint department but im up for the task. The one major question i was looking to get some info on is, after coming up empty when searching the board for it.  I know the seats on 69-76 mount on the other side compared to the 77-78 but are the seat pan size dimensions the same? As in can i use the foam and cover from a 74 on my 78 seat pan? Im looking for a flat seat not the step up one that came on my 750.  Any help would be great.
Thanks

Welcome aboard. I  don't think the early cover will fit but experts will chime in on that.
Don't forget to download the manual. It's great and will save you a lot of anguish.

Like Don I can't confirm but pretty sure the 78 seat is longer than the 74 by a good bit.

Twere me, I'd go to an auto upholstery shop and have them make a simple flat cover.
