hi all . in the uk and building a cb500

name is shaun .im over in the uk and building a old 73 cb 500 cafe racer .built bobbers choppers and old lambretta scooters in the past .just built a sportster cafe racer .but do like the old hondas . looks like you have a great site  8) 8)

Hi there and welcome. If you need any bits give me a shout, I have a few odds and ends lying around.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

thanks for the welcome lads 8) well i dont have a lot to look at just now , got the engine out made a new loop for under the seat ,cut all the crap off the frame . i did get a old alloy tank that some bloke used for long runs on is cb 500  ??? its a bit bige and it looks like a 1950s bred bin lol but i fink i will have a go at cuting it down  :-\ i have built loads of stuff in the past mad scooters running bike engines choppers boobers and so on .but i want this to be just right , i was looking at the cycle x carb setup ? as eany one on the site used them ??? ,
this is a pick of the roller incl the bred bin tank haha  8) gout in the workshop today and put some knee dents in the standard tank .looks better  8) 8)

Welcome Shaun.  Which CycleX carbs mate,? I am pretty sure that the cycleX twin carb set up hits the frame and needs frame mods to fit..

I kind of like that "bread-bin" tank; looks like the type of metal-shaping your countrymen were famous for. That tank looks very unique..
