Hand control wiring harness
« on: July 11, 2012, 03:51:47 AM »
Where do I disconnect the right hand control wiring harness on my 1976 cb750? I have an earlier hand control I need to replace with the correct one. Thanks.

Do it in the garage so you can close the door after sundown and keep working.  Then open up the headlight bucket and start feeling around for the plug and wire connected to that hand control.  Then disconnect that plug only to find that it won't fit out through the hole in the headlight bucket with all those other wires in place.  And finally, strap on your patience hat and start CAREFULLY massaging wires and plugs till you get that one fished out and the new one put back in.

NOTE:  before starting all this, check the wiring diagram to make sure you have the correct numbers and colors of wires to reconnect
