I have C brake bracket that does not move at all. I may need it for dual disc setup, is there any trick to disassembly?
I just soaked it in penetrating oil, bit reluctant to heat it up.

What do you think?  Maybe bake it at 200F?

The pivot pin seizes in the C bracket. Then there are ORings which are meant to isolate the elements from getting to the pivot pin at the arm. But years take their toll, the ORings degrade and it seizes in the arm as well. Soak it as you are doing in. I'd stick with a heat gun or hairdryer for heating it. But ultimately i think it will take a BFH and you'll have to go Roman on its a-s. Heat should work as the C and the arm are aluminum and the pin is steel.
