« on: July 11, 2012, 06:58:46 AM »
The bearing in the case below the clutch, right countershaft bearing is loose in a case I have. its the opposite end of the shaft you take the bearing holder off of when you split the cases.. Anyone had to loctite or fix one before ?

Doesn't it have a locating pin in the bottom half of the case for the bearing??

If not red Loctite should do the job.

Cough Cough - why is this post dusty?

I have run into the same issue. The bearing that drives into the lower case, next to the shifter drum, is loose.  I can slip it in with my grubby little fingers.  Bearing measures 47mm on the nose and the old bearing required a slide hammer to remove.

754 it has been over a year, did locktite work? I am considering installing with locktite and peening a couple of spots.
It is a proven fact that modifying a SOHC Honda in any way will bring on the apocalypse.

I never ended using that case yet. Red loctite will hold. I was just wondering if it happened often.
