A friend saw it at Barbor, guy was thinking on the lines of selling it to  George's museum. I think they had one with zero miles, so there it was. He worked out a price and arranged to pick it up in Texas.  Valve cover is off, and back on valves adjusted, reinstall 16mm del ortos (fairly clean, unique to this bike) and bodywork, etc. Brembo brakes are stock setup. He figures it will be running after one more day of working on it.

Oh yeah, without bodywork there are almost no badges.

Yeah, his Christmas shopping was all done at Barbor.

And where in Texas??

A clandestined hook up in Burkburnett, the whole thing like the underground railroad.  It was imported by a guzzi disrtibutor or shop new prolly in the late '70's,  title may be wrong. Not many got to the states, or even built for that matter.

The body work is real angular, the seat has no cover, just a rubberized surface. Prolly looking to have something made to protect it.

Gas tank is plastic, hidden under the bodywork with a door to it. Side covers ar like 3 feet long (?!).  Guages are on the front of the tank. Front brake uses a cable down to a MC in there. The controls are pretty unique.  It must weigh in at about 300 or so.

Not sure about the chrome fender on this one, seems like mant photos show plastic, not chrome.

I can't remember the number but it was about 2,000 more than the 350f.  I'm wanting to say 12,000.  I think it will live the remainder of it's life well under 9,000.  Parts might as well be a make it yourself deal at this point.

Pretty sure it's a five speed, I think top speed was said to be around 86 mph, speedo reads kliks, and if I remember correct it's at just over 12k, so around 8,000 miles on it.

Okay, I haven't been to the shop for a coupe weeks, but it is a runner.

It took a bit of coaxing, but after things were back together it took some warm up and a push down the hill and eventually it got a heart pumping and it is a runner like a new one. I haven't heard it run yet but It now starts easily and is in the stable.

I will try to post pics or a video or sound soon.

It made it over to the house tonight and I was home.

The stacks are actually  some of the plenum tubes off of my 350 parts with a screen shaped with a golfball (I Guess)  and some fine mesh.  I didn't think to crawl in for a closeup of that.

It runs a bit lean I guess, but sounds really neat,  Little brembos,  mod shape.  Still needs a bit of work to get expected RPM's, but it's on the road.

Neil Young used to say a song is like a woman, better if there is some mystery  to it before naked, so if bikes are the same, it's  ass backwards here.  She's no longer naked.
