exaust gasket removal

morning,

curious about any tips on old copper exaust gasket removal. do you just prise them out, or is there an easier way?

I just pry them out, as they aren't normally reused.

Just make sure you clean up the surfaces before putting on new gaskets. Prise? lever alone.

Try some Permetex Gasket remover. Great stuff practically eats gaskets away.

Pry them off then dress the surfaces with a small file. Terry is going to "up me for the rent on this", but I use silastic on copper gaskets. Silastic? you say. NOT normal silastic, it's called ULTRA-BLUE. I've used it on exhausts on cars, bikes & trucks. But it MUST be ultra-blue.
