back from 1000mile bike week trip and again it was dissapointing.  :-\  all fat old people with harleys but a few older hondas.  i saw a group of 70s hondas (maybe about 10 of them) ride by the place where i was staying.  they looked smaller (300ccish) but some could have been 550-750s.  they wizzed by so fast i couldnt see.

walking around wiers beach i saw only ONE sohc and two other 750s that were dohc. :-\  i was hoping that i would see more as i think older 750s are up and comming, but now that i think about it...im kinda glad i didnt 8) .  we see what happens when things become popular ("Look, custom choppers OH MY GOD" was the phrase of the week)

anyway, was anybody else up there?  i might have seen you or visaversa.  i took the 77 750 up, brown with gold and red pinstripe and was with 2 harleys, 2 dual sports and a gsxr750.  quite a crew huh lol

I was there the first Sunday and only saw one SOHC - a realy nice black 750 chopper down by Weirs beach. Didnt see any other SOHCs. However I did go to the vintage racing which took place in Laconia town centre and that was fun to watch. I was riding a stock orange CB750K4.

cheers

genrl,if you go to a bike show like that lookin for old hondas, you will be sorely disappointed.i went to myrtle beach in may and the only old honda i saw was lumbees and that was because me and him hung out together for a while.i dont know where those others of us that havae these bikes go,but it aint to a "harley" show thats for damn sure.

andy:   i didnt get there till wednesday so i musta missed that guy.  i heard about the vintage racing and there was supposedly more that week...didnt get to see it though  >:(

dusterdude:  i hear ya...i was just hopin ya know?  :-\  sometimes you can see some different bikes there riding around though and thats what i was looking for.

have you gone to years before?  i ask because it seemed like less people and crazyness this year (less hot girls, boobs, burnouts etc).  i can remember when the gang people used to put bikes like mine in the trees!  now its just a bunch of harleys with windshields, radios and gps maps.

wuts the deal with that? maybe its just me ???

Didn't make it to the races myself. Had to work, ugh!@#$@ to pay for all the polish.

Did manage to see the end result of the HA harley driver attempting to intimidate an auto
headon on Rt202/9 sunday. He lost.

What I did notice driving around was the number of people whom were extremely nice,
cops, cagers giving space/not tailgateing etc etc.

Hope to make it next year on a fully restored 74 cb750 if the funding holds up.
peace,
michel
