Looks like the month is coming quickly to a close and my 3 days off are filled with plumbing and flooring repairs so I better wrap this up.

Ive learned alot from this bike with everything thats happened over the years: 1 big bore build, 1 blown case build, and 1 upper end redo. Sure wish I had access to HondaMans book 15 years ago.

A once in a lifetime mishap - I left my forkbag unlashed one ride and lost my shop rags. One of these went all the way from there to my tire/chain and became balled up between the front sprocket and the cases.

Tore some #$%* up!

First thing to learn obviously.....motor teardown and build.

Donor motor. Its been through a few floods without sparkplugs on the shores of Spring River in Miami Oklahoma.

Next thing.....how to buff aluminum. Carbs first. A warning though, it might surprise you how quickly a few dips in the sonic machine full of Berrymans will destroy the finish.

Motor polishing.......

DISCLAIMER--- I HAVE SINCE FIGURED OUT MY PERMETEX SHORTCOMINGS ON THE HEAD GASKET. UGLY #$%*!

Now that the month is nearly over Ill thank you for my nomination and finish this up.......

Since my old build thread was lost in the forum change over some time ago Ill say what means the most to me here and recreate the thread in the future.

Everyone my name is Dennis - Boatsdickson and my ride is a 78 836 that I affectionatly call WidowMaker.

Through the toughest last 6 years of my life I found peace and serenity in long nights with my two wheeled creation that focused my thoughts and somewhat kept me out of trouble......

But mostly I had a companion who was always by my side who loved just to be near while I worked, or just to carry off my red shop rags.

Rowdy Earl Dickson, now your gone from my side and our shop but I still love you and miss you every day. Now that this bike is finished I ride in your honor. Thank you for all your help. Someday when we meet again we will take the ride together that I always promised. Until then, I love you my fallen furry son.

folks, as an animal lover i humbly suggest henceforth adding an animal to your pix even if it's the neighbors.

it never fails to impress me however the transformation from unloved, or in pieces, hulk to the results i always see in the botm threads.

All nice bikes, but I quickly narrowed my vote to the highest mileage CB750 vs the longest build thread CB750. In the end, my vote is recognition of not just the bike, but the rider, who deserves some acknowledgement for not just owning the same bike for 34 years, but using it as his first form of transport.

My hat goes off to you Greg, if I rode my bikes as much as I talk about them, I still wouldn't have the miles under my tires that you have! Cheers, Terry. ;D3
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Hey Terry.  We've had some laughs over the years debating the merits of the F0, so your vote qualifies as an event. Thanks amigo.

Congratulations to Mat!

I voted for myself, was cheering for Ofgreen as riding (mileage)  is what this is ultimately about.

But just goes to show it takes all kinds!   ;D   ;D

The line up was even odd this month.  One is kind of a gentlemans express (I think), another is a stock/tourer, an extreme in depth custom and a cafe style.  Each basically their own style.
