Red rear turn signals on a 750 K0?
« on: July 17, 2012, 10:08:55 AM »
The rear turn signals on this bike look like they are red.  Is this just an aftermarket thing, or did some of these come from the factory like this?  I thought all side marker lights in the USA had to be amber starting in the 1960s or so.

IIRC, Euro and JDM bikes had the red signals.

I don't know of any country that uses red signals.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

In the US the rear signals may legally be red or amber.
I have noticed the rear signals on the 75 and earlier XS650's are red.

I don't think Honda ever used red signals on the 750, at least in the US.
However, red aftermarket lenses are easily available.

For the 69-70-71 CB750 Japanese market bikes, Honda offered both red (33600-300-000) and amber (33402-268-671) rear turn signal lenses. Beginning with the CB750 K2, the red lens is deleted with only the amber lens remaining. This explains why you see K0-K1 JDM bikes having both of these turn signal colors.

Thanks Hino.  You sound like my dad talking about old Porsches :)
