In my quest for one of these old bikes I stumbled across this little bike and thought I would get a few opinions on it. 6,075 original miles, two owner bike, clear title, new tires, new paint on tank and side covers. Needs a new battery and some carb work to get running. What do y'all think for value?

It is low mileage and it looks like some work has been done to it.  The most important variable to this is that it's NOT running.  350F is a desirable bike though.  If it turned over and if I poked around a little more and saw everything hadn't been messed with I would say it's worth around $1000.  A nice runner that is in excellent condition can get $1500-$2000 easy.  So...  Dunno.  What is he asking for it?

check those pipes for rust  ;) they may be worth more than the bike. 8)
if you can get it for under $1000, do it.  fast.

Something like that clean looking will fetch upward of $3k around here in LA, then get torn down to cafe racer, then price go up to $6k.

The man is asking $2k for the bike as it sits. It was purchased from te original owner three years agai and ran fine then. The current owner wanted k completely rebuild the carbs so he remove them and bought all the kits but never rebuilt them he just reinstalled the carbs. The battery was removed several years ago and needs replaced. I was thinking $1500 would be good. The exhaust is said to be perfect and the underside of the fenders are supposed to not even have any surface rust.

1974 CB350F (four cylinder)  Not a twin cylinder.

Nice pipes! What are they?

Not sure about what it's worth, whatever someone is willing to pay but $2000 sound pretty high for a non-runner. Not having original paint devalues it in my book too.

I think the last year were black only. Might not be orginal paint but it is orginal color.

The pipes were MC brand I believe.

I have a nice one that does run perfect, and just to let you know, I could EASILY sell it for 3500. It too has the stock pipes albeit newer ones thaty are NOS from about 7~9 years ago and the thing runs like new. Mines a 73 though. Id say if you can get it for 1500 that is a great price.

The last year (1974) only one colour for the CB350F was sold in most market areas.  That colour was Glory Blue Black Metallic, which is not a true black and is very hard to match.  A lot of the time if this colour fades badly, it will appear to be a blue colour.  It is the only bike that Honda ever used that particular colour on.

If you can get it for $1,000-$1,500, buy it. They're very collectible and that's a nice piece.

Near as I can tell if I want it I'm going I have to give 1800-2000. Trying to decide if it is worth buying at that price.

Then I have to ask, what else can you get in that price range that will scratch your itch? Unless you have a very strong desire to get a specific model of bike (e.g. the 350F in this case) I think you'll be better off with an open mind and see just what your dollar can get you. I strongly suspect there are better deals out there for you.

Went and looked at the bike, very clean but a few items that I didn't like. Exhaust had small amounts of road rash on both sides, key was missing, inside of the tank looked like it had some type of coating on it that resembled tan paint, front brakes were not working. I offered 1500 and he said he'd think on it and let me know. I think I'll keep looking. If anyone has a good bike in Texas let me know.

The phrase "ran great when parked" is a major scare. If he really wants $2k he should get it running: if it's so easy why not just do it himself. Red flags all over this deal.

Agreed.
for $2k it should be running and near roadworthy. keep in mind that as-is, you'll put another $1k+ into it to get it there...if he won't do $1500, walk away.

If you are in no hurry the guy may eventually get a clue that he is asking too much and drop the price. I don't have the experience many have here but I would not pay more that $1000 for it.
