Other make seats for a 1977 CB750?
« on: July 18, 2012, 12:29:45 PM »
I am looking at seats for my '77 cb750k. I have an F tank on it so it needs to be shorter than the stock seat.
I like the seats from BMW, Norton, and Moto Guzzi from around that same era. Does anyone have any thoughts or experience fitting seats from other makes onto their K model 750's paired with an F tank? Photos would be really cool.
Not going with a cafe or brat style just kind of a stock feel but not stock either.

I built and covered a stock 77-78 seat pan, lower profile than stock. It would be easy to trim off the excess at the front to allow for the F tank I'd think, you'ld need to bend and round down the cut edge. Then you could still used the existing seat lock and hinges, wouldn't be very hard to do.

Should be pretty easy to find one at a scrapper or flea bay.
