There is a certain fatigue factor that can occur in aluminum rods. However, there are literly hundreds of CBs running out there with MTCs , Golden rods, MCs, etc for over 30 years.

One of the less desirable aspects of aluminum rods is rod stretch. You usually have to run more piston to head clearance with them.

Those Yosh rods were made by a company in Calif that is no longer in business, SuperRod.  Their main advantage was they were stronger than the oem steel rods, but not as strong as Golden rods or MTCs.

At some point in the late 70s, Jim at Action Fours had a steel rod made in Japan that was beefier than oem rods. He sold them to us and RC Eng.
Those R.C. steel rods are the ones that i got from my friend and installed in my turbo engine.   ;)
