Chain Oiler Plug

So anyone using Jokers chain oiler plug?  If so, what are your thoughts?

It says to use silicone sealer.  Really?

why bother? just remove the stock chain oiler adjuster screw, squirt some rtv in thereand tighten the adjuster down all the way,...

I thought using that kind of sealer was a no no.

generally, yes...but I can see very little chance of any sealer traveling from the countershaft up through the case, through the tube to the oil tank, and into the oil supply where it could do damage...all against the flow, oil wants to come out here, not get sucked back in...also I did this to my own bike several years ago with no issues...probably want to be sure and give the sealer ample time to dry before riding.

how does it stay in? It doesnt look threaded

So I read a little more. Basically it passively stays in using silicone sealer

So it is a waste of $10 but looks better than the oiler screw, makes sense.

Haha, Im just thinking how screwed you be if it fell out. Or what could happen when you pressed in a bunch of silicone sealant.

 I was wondering what they looked like on the back side...
 I just built a couple with threads, AND an O-ring.. the O ring is a long ways in.. anyway, not a 10 bux piece the way I made it..

I banged in a piece of appropriately sized dowel. The sprocket keeps it from coming out.
