cb500 petcock

Anyone have a fix for this ? Trying to spend less than $ for a new one.

do you have the piece that came out? if so just push it back in as long as it is a snug fit. happened to me and has worked fine. if not snug clean both pieces up with scotch brite or what ever and use some loctite (sparingly) on it. make sure both parts are CLEAN, and degreased (alcohol works  good) before loctiting.

If you have the piece--usualy found in the flexible (Ha Ha) pipeput the hose end on the bench and GENTLY DO NOT WALE INTO IT HEAVY HANDEDLYtap a centre punch into the end that goes into the ally--the taper on the punch will gently flare out the top to make it a slightly tighter fit

Nope. That piece is a gonner.. Closest thing I can think of is a barbed brass line connector. Cutting it in half and sanding off all the barbs except the last one. Ill measure tomorrow and look into that...

Turns out my reserve tube was cracked as well.

Retro, K2 is same as 500 F1 is different, I think Dave Silver still does them but they are a lot more expensive than the K2. BEWATR of e-bay prices, check out Dave Silver as even with shipping they can be cheaper

ive had big and small parcels from silvers,some of the small ones have been sweet f-all postage,i think it goes on the size aswell as the weight,so many small things are cheap postage,,they pack stuff well to,the yank postage can be criminal.

All of our over charging retailers are trying to have the under 1000 dollar exemption banned because it is cheaper for us to buy a lot of stuff overseas for lots less money, what the idiots don't realize is that even if they remove the exemption it will still be cheaper to buy overseas..... ;D  Screw em all i say... ;)

I ordered a new exhaust out of DSS yesterday, with a couple of extra small parts, it worked out to be less than half what it was going to cost me for just the exhaust here.  So even if I had to pay 10% duty, like they are proposing, it would still be cheaper.
