Two Brothers Racing or was it Kevin Erion (one of the brothers) built one to race using RC30 body work.  The engine was very highly modified and I think they raced in BOTT.  Air-Tech sells the body work.  I had a Hawk GT and it was very good handling bike.  Before the SV650 came out, they were the twin to use in racing.   The RC31 came from the VIN number.

Thanks Steve.  I've done some more research and this one might just be added to my stable this afternoon.

The engine is stock accept the Muzzy exhaust.  It needs a jet kit so its kinda dead between 2200 & 3000 rpm... kinda fun like it is... To take off I just tach it to about 3500 and dump it while continuing to twist.   The key is to steer, you don't have to hold on thanks to the huge ass tail piece.   I'm leaving for 11 days, I have the jet kit, all new carb rubbers and an oil and air filter, when I get back I'll put all of that on the bike.

One of the big exhaust manufacturers released a new exhaust for the Hawks, can't remember which but a youtube search should pull it up pretty quick.

Looks like fun, I have been lurking for a decent Hawk at a good price to scoop up, I'll scroe one eventually.

It's a real blast.  It's super low at the seat.  All of my 230lbs is planted firmly to the frame and tank.  I can't wait to get back from this current trip so I can get that jet kit installed.
