New 750A owner with a question
« on: July 26, 2012, 12:47:02 PM »
Proud new owner of my first Honda! I recently purchased a 78 750A, looking to find a unique ride. I have a question I hope someone can help me with. The bike is in good shape overall, but had set in storage for a few years. When I took it to my friends cycle repair shop all was well until the carbs. It seems one carb is missing the needle jet holder! I have tried to locate one, but no luck. Can anybody point me in the right direction, or is there another part # that is compatible? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.  Mike

In all my internet searches, I've only seen that part for sale one time - just this month - sold now.

I'd find another carb set to steal from.

Maybe someone has a parts set . . . ?

Thank-you all for the quick imput. Seems I have checked every parts source, only to find out it is unavailable. I had no idea this would become like searching for "the Grail"!! If anyone has a source for a carb that has the needle valve holder with it, please let know. Is this part unique to the model, or was this carb set used on any other Hondas. (will help with the "salvage yard" search! Great day to you all.

I agree, I would find another set, either evilbay (I have seen a few recently) or from other used parts places.

Send me a message with a contact number that youll answer almost all the time.  I am going over to a buddies on Monday that i gave a few sets of 750 carbs to for spare parts.  We can call and you can talk to him directly.  Hes been a dealer mechanic for over 30 years and he will know instantly what  you need and if he has it.
