1975 K5 - Worth?
« on: July 22, 2012, 04:08:03 PM »
27,000 kms. Ad reads: Runs like a top. The bike starts and runs well. There is no rust in the tank and no oil leaks. This is a garage find with a clear title and the original owners manual and tool kit. There are two sets of keys. The front pipes are original the back pipes are Jardine slip on pipes that make the bike sound awesome. Thoughts?

Looks a lot like a bike I just picked up.  $3k in the US would be fair.

Here is one in Indiana that is almost a twin to yours, same pipes etc. Put it in your favorites to track and see if it sells at $2300.00. Side note though can you see any differences in the bike in the two pictures posted-  I do---   Hmmm   http://southbend.craigslist.org/mcy/3156684923.html

Yeah, that's about the going rate around here.  Of course on ebay it would fetch $5K... ::)

I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

The upholstered seat has wrinkles in one. Most likely aftermarket. Also, the one has another bike in bike. Other bike is solo

Just sold a repainted and running K6 with 4/2 pipes for $1700.......a friend just bought a K5 in a garage for $250....removed the stock pipes and sold the bike for $800 after an hour to get it running......has KQ seat and ape-hangers but otherwise stock and low mileage.

I agree with upward pricing......for running bikes 8) 8) 8) 8)

Dennis, Would your friend be interested in selling the pipes?
