Model CB750 engine!

I found a model of a cb750 engine at a hobby shop while visiting in Eugene. Pretty sure it was a one-off build by some local model maker but they wouldn't even consider selling it much less open the case and let me look at it :(

Still really cool find though! :)

I have that same model. I have never got around to building it. It has a small electric motor and actually turns. Dan

My wife was going through some of our stuff the other day and found mine. I bought one of these quite a few years ago and never put it together. Actually I thought I had sold it on ebay..But since I still have it I plan on assembling it very soon.

I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

Very true. I bought mine from forum member japbikemike (I wonder where is he nowadays....) and never built it. I'm quite busy with building the real deal. Probably it will remain that way until I need to clear some space or I get too old to work on motorcycles, whichever comes first...

It's a fairly detailed kit. It has an electric motor that turns the crank and the pistons move and there's little red lights that simulate spark plugs.
I'm just usually too busy working on the real thing to take the time to build the kit properly.

The guy had to use a length of wire to tie the cam chain off so it doesn't fall into the case.  Now that's realism!   ::)

I built my model in 1975 during a snow-storm........about 10-years later it vanished when my parents moved.  I guess it was too fast for me 8) 8) 8) 8)

My son got me one of those model 750 kits that TrueSpin was talking about. He and I were going to build it,but when we opened the box we stopped and just looked at each other and decided to find someone that was better at model building that us.I am still looking. I did see a picture of one that had been built and the guy had replaced the plastic spokes with wire.
