« on: July 24, 2012, 03:11:53 PM »
my bike is going to need some new parts for thehead.  mine is a 1978 cb750F.  anywy upon looking for parts I came across a doubt.  What are the differences betwen the k and the F engines.  and while we are at it what are the differences from the DOHC other than the dual Cam?

dohc has no similarities. A K vs F sohc are similar, and many parts are interchangeable, but not all. Check in with what you're planning to buy and people here can say yay or nay.

Biggest difference in late F and the K's is the entire top end. Now wasn't that an easy explanation?

Send your head to Big Jay at APE for a "standard" rebuild or to MRieck for a "serious" higher performance rebuild. Just depends on how much you are willing to spend.

Perhaps you could be more specific in your doubt and we can be more specific with the easy explanation?!
