Question for 1Bad750, can you measure those coated pistons and tell me what their OD is about an inch up from the bottom of the skirts on the "Thrust Faces"? My 836cc bores are a tad worn, and I'm wondering if the extra thickness of the coating on those pistons would "fill the gap"? Cheers, Terry. ;D

Can do tonight. :)

Thanks 1bad and Terry. Good to know! Hey 1bad I'll be sending you a pm now ;)

Back to work! Stalled lately with a baby on the way and my company sold! So went house crazy. Replaced all the flooring, painted, landscaped, veggie garden, new baby safe car, and all that jazz. Anyhow, with all that out of the way I have a little under 2 months now to finish 4 bikes. On to Rhonda. Made a valve guide drift, heated head in the oven (the wifey loved the smell) to 295 degrees, and shot some liquid CO down each guide and gently tapped them out. Worked a treat.

Left to do, send head out for mild porting, then reassemble. Get the jugs bored. Assemble top end. Yay! Aside from maybe ordering a bunch factory correct hardware from Z1 that will put her back on the road just in time for a Summer daily rider and make the 4th of July Hollister Rally. Unfortunately though my time will be consumed with other bikes that need attention, and after that baby Kylie (not unfortunate), so a update after might be awhile. Wish me luck! LOL

Here we go, yo. Ya, I'm slow, busy guy. Ha ha...

Dirty head

Round 1 with my DIY soda blaster

Ordered 69-45-30 cutters and guide tools to cut the seats and Mr. CB750 will be cleaning up the ports for me. I broke down and decided Ken from CycleX will bore out my block. Just waiting for him to get back into the shop next week. :)

Another cover cleaned

Later model, a little lighter

Clutch assembled

Left side almost done

Looking good mate! Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"
