Yeah, the whole croc paranoia thing is a bit silly, (as I type this thousands of miles from any of the big scary buggers) we kill way more crocs than crocs kill us, we are still the most dangerous animals on the planet, bar none.

Having said that, the weirdest croc death was that of Isobel Van Jorden, a Bali bombing survivor who flew to Darwin shortly after the bombing. She'd been dancing in the Sari Club with her sister only an hour before the bombs went off that killed 202 people.

To have survived death at the hands of the Bali bombers, only to be killed days later by a croc, is a little more than coincidence, IMHO.

All that gay talk is worrying me men, I'm as straight as a straight man can be, geez, I like country and western music, how many gay men do you know who can listen to a full Slim Dusty album without screaming out in mental agony?

I did work with a couple of gay public servants when I was in the army though, and for all that anti-gay talk, they were great blokes. We went out on the piss one night, geez I had a good time, they took me around to all these poofter pubs and once I got used to seeing blokes dancing with blokes, and chicks dancing with chicks, it was fine.

They didn't let me buy a drink all night, and geez I threw a lot down, no #$%*, I woke up in the morning with my pants around my ankles in a gutter in Wellington Parade, I don't know what happened to my new drinking partners, but geez that beer made my bum hurt!

There was a bit of  stink about that mate.
The bloody tourist guide dropped the ball and got in the #$%* about that a bit.

I can't exactly remember what happened now but he had a duty of care with his job and didn't follow through with it.

Yep, when doing some googling, I saw a report that the tour guide actually told the German tourists that it was OK to swim there? I guess that's the problem you have when you hire Basil Fawlty as a tour guide!

Don't think I'd want to move down under as it looks like all the Aussies are always pissed off.

What pisses me off is the district manager  offering another position to me (a step down from supervisor) at work at the present pay rate then  management higher than him telling me I'll have to take a 1.10 per hour less when all the paper work was completed.  I had the foresight to put a caveat after my request that the move would be at the present pay. Of course,   I refused .That pisses me off but it is so indicative of how the largest hardware retailer operates    ...Larry

Hey Mick, have you been up to Nhulunbuy? I spent a month or so there in 1995 working with our indigenous soldiers from Norforce on exercise Kangaroo '95. It would have, without a doubt, the best beaches in Oz, but everywhere I walked, all I saw (apart from Dingo's, Buffalo's and Taipans.........) was massive footprints from where the big Saltwater Croc's came out of the surf. At least sharks aren't a problem there, the Croc's ate them all long ago! Cheers, Terry,
