What pisses me off is that of all the friends both my boys have, I seem to be the only dad that knows how to work on stuff and has the tools to do it which means everybody wants to bring their junk over here to work on it which usually means I get stuck doing it if I want it out of my garage. The latest request came yesterday when my youngest asked if his friend could bring his '90 sumtin Kaw ninja here to get it running because a local shop has had it for 6 mos now and has hardly done squat to it. I gave the OK on it with 1 very vital condition and that is once the problem has been figured out, his buddy better come up with the $ to fix it asap or it's outta here. Yeah we'll see how this works out.

Well it's good that you're gonna look at it for him Scott, you're a good dad. Merry Christmas! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Geez, if I paid CycleX for coated rocker arms and shafts and it came off with degreaser, I'd be mighty pissed off! Cheers, Terry. ;D
Merry Christmas mate.  8)
If I wasn't full of Xmas Turkey and Xmas Wild Turkey right now I'd be pissed right off.  ;D

Ken's got some bloody good stuff for our motors but this coating stuff gave me a soft on.  ;D
I've had my hands in plenty of times and the old maralingas haven't dropped off yet.  ;D

I'm sorta thinking that 10k on the tacho has to be meaner than some degreaser.
Anyway mate, f'k it, better have another WT and think about it tomorrow.  ;D
If I was you
I'd be worried about me.

Thanks Terry and Merry Christmas to you too.
Both my boys friends are all good kids so I have a hard time saying no it's just from time to time I have to badger them to get them motivated. Once a friend of theirs had a Saturn that needed a new clutch asap, winter was approaching and I knew there was no way that clutch would make it through the winter. New clutch plus a bunch of other parts was going to be $300 which of course neither the friend nor his parents had so I paid for it and installed it before winter hit. The good news is that the friend made good in paying me back, it took him a few months to do it anywhere between $10 or $20 a week but he did it and we never had to badger him about it either.

Nice morning here this morning mate.
Typical Darwin Xmas afternoon though.
Sweating 2 stubbies out and pouring 1 stubbie in.
That was pissing me off trying to keep up.  ;D
Got the job done eventually.  ;D

Thanks Terry and Merry Christmas to you too.

2 more hours to go here in Darwin NT and the show will be over again for another year.

It's ok Pete, you're from South Oz, so you're expected to be a bit weird. It's sad that you don't love Christmas though, it's the most wonderful time of the year! Cheers, Terry. ;D

Yep even got time to start cleaning out the shed and doing the annual reorganizing.
It's that time of the year when you find stuff that youve been looking  for over the last 12 months and it suddenly reappears.
That pisses me off. ;D

What pisses me off is when you can't find something and you run out and buy another only to loose it too. I swear I have at least 4 10mm wrenches and I'll be damned if I still don't have times when I can't find one handy. :)

I've been married for over 30 years, but being that I've always hated shopping I'm happy to say that I've only gone shopping with the wife once. It was just after we got married and went off to do our grocery shopping. I didn't really want to go, but the wife was keen on us doing everything together. (yawn.........)

I got right into it though, and pretty much decided that we needed at least one of every product in the supermarket, so the trolley was almost bursting with useless crap that we were never going to use. After that the wife decided that she didn't need me to go shopping with her anymore, and I'm happy to say that apart from my regular forays to Aldi (on my own, of course) I haven't seen the insides of a supermarket since 1982.

And surprisingly, that doesn't piss either of us off............. ;D

Yep, shopping with the wife is "cruel and unusual punishment" as far as I'm concerned, if I need to buy something, I go straight to that shelf, grab the item and go straight to the checkout.

By contrast, my wife likes to wander up and down every isle, picking things up, looking at them, and putting them down again. (my son told me that, he still occasionally goes shopping with her, which pisses him off!) ;D

Now I'm REALLY fkn pissed off - my driver side door on my pristine '69 Cooper S is now bent due to a fkn lycra clad pushbike lady riding into it as I opened it....and ADMITTING she wasn't fkn looking where she was fkn going.........FFS.  :o >:(
She hadn't been behind me when I pulled up, but had come around the corner from the side street, so caught me off guard, literally appearing from nowhere. I'm really precious about this car, so always check around me and park only where safe.
She didn't even hit the deck, so was uninjured, unlike my door.... >:(
We exchanged details, and I was prepared to move on and went to say goodbye, and then she said she'd be reporting it to the police (why?? she had no damage or injuries??), but she was being egged on by some fkn do-gooder lycra loving know-all backyard bush lawyer yuppies who had gathered like seagulls, so after me telling them to fk off and wanting to punch one cardigan wearing toffy nosed wanker who was trying to bait me, I said to the rider yeh, so I'll have to report it as well then, but I'll be telling them that you admitted you weren't looking.  >:( The wanker then says "that doesn't matter" WHAT??? FFS!!!!!!!!!! I really had to hold myself back.

I was advised by the cops that as there were no injuries and the damage is below $3000 to lodge the report on line.....sheesh. So that's done, but the trouble is you don't have the room to give a full account, so have to cut it down....doesn't read as good as what I wanted it to say ???

There's an ongoing battle here between drivers/motocyclists and bum snif...er..I mean pushbike riders about pushies giving no regard to laws and other road users, you see it every day....now apparently they don't even have to fkn look where they are going ::)

Yeh, I know I opened the door, and I do accept responsibility for that, but I had looked...at least I didn't admit I wasn't fkn looking where I was going...that's the bit that got me really pissed off >:(

I AM PISSED OFF. Happy fkn new year. I love my car  :(

yeah bummer man!i hope it all comes out good,a while ago in the old cummins acco,a push bike rider/racer with one of them stupid pointy go fast fag helmets came around on my right from behind(where else?)as i drove through a round about,he then cut across by a bees dick and turned and spat a big gob on the poor old hard working acco!!we had a few kays off straight road ahead and i was loaded heavy so once i got past him doing about 40 kay i selected a too high gear and laboured the motor pouring heavy black soot into his nice pink lungs,as i gained speed and the exhaust cleared up i backed off and did it again a few times over, nyuck nyuck nyuck,,dont spit on my acco!!it pisses me off!!this trucks gone now,,a non smog euro green isuzu with no black soot replaced it.

Nice one!
Actually, the more I think about it, the more I realize that my door was open and she rode into it cos she wasn't fkn looking......I think I can stop feeling a little built guilty/responsible now, just fkn angry.
I had one the other day not give way to me at a roundabout, also wearing one of those gay pointy go-fast helmets with wires poking out the top to scare the birds off ffs, so he found out what it's like to be squeezed between a car and a gutter and receive a mouthful - what makes these wankers so fkn arrogant??
They want drivers to be considerate and give them space - I have no problem with that, as long as they consider the law and other road users......pisses me off!!

mate, the seagulls were tripping over themselves to give her names and numbers....you can bet by the look of them they were into lycra and pushies themselves (this area is very trendy at this time of year with thousands of city holidayers, which she is and no doubt the seagulls were too - I've never seen so many X5s and Audi 4wds etc) and could only see SHE had done no wrong, you know...poor persecuted pushies, everyone hates us sort of stuff, even though she had admitted not watching where she was going. That was obviously not important ffs.
If they weren't so fkn arrogant, selfish and precious then they wouldn't be hated.
She has since rung me and APOLOGISED and said she was moving on from it.....so I reckon that's about a big an admission of guilt as I'm likely to get. She mentioned that she has a couple of sore knuckles (that'd be from MY door) which set off a couple of alarm bells in my head, but she had filled out the "no injury" online report as well, so doubt she would be able to change that now (the website says once it's submitted there can be no changes). Her admission and apology makes me think of pursuing her for damages, but wtf, only the lawyers will make money out of that. Not worth it, and it would only give her lawyers opportunity to twist it to make me look in the wrong. Haven't got time for that #$%*e. Fix the door and move on. But still pissed off.

There was a pushie rider in the paper the other day whining about being punched in the ribs by a passing biker.....of course he wouldn't have done anything to deserve it, oh nooooo.
A mate of mine challenged a group of them on a twisty road in the hills - they were blocking the road 4 and 5 abreast, they told him to gf'd etc so he pulled up down the road a bit and got off his bike waiting for them - when they came along and saw that he was 6'5" and built like a tank they pedalled a bit faster, hahaha. Bet they were shaking at the next latte stop, haha.

It's a funny thing Pete, I like pushbikes (not that I've ridden one in years obviously........) but I don't like pushbike riders. What I don't understand is why the hell they don't have to have mirrors on their bikes?

I'd reckon (but don't know and can't be arsed finding out) that many collisions involving pushbikes happen when they swerve around parked cars and other obstructions like car drivers opening their doors without looking (unlike you, of course) without checking what's going on behind/beside them?

The amount of times that I've almost hit some lycra clad poofter who's swerved into my path is beyond count. I remember when I'd only been in the army a few months back in the 1970's, I was passenger in an old 6WD Army Truck, driving past the Melbourne Zoo.

Kev, the driver, didn't give a #$%* about much, so when he passed a pushbike rider who coincidentally had just stood up on the pedals and the left side mirror hit the rider in the back of the head, sending him flying into a row of parked cars, just looked over at me and said, "Oops!" and kept driving.

No mobile phones or camera's back in those days, and the cops probably wouldn't have been interested unless he'd died, so we heard no more about it, not that Kev would have been very interested, which probably would have pissed the pushbike rider right off! Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.
