Yep, just like the rest of the world, Australia has a growing population of over-educated under achievers who think they have all the answers, that somehow the previous generations had it all wrong, that we should close down our coal fired generators, export our remaining manufacturing industry, ban farming, stop vaccinating our children against diseases that no longer exist here in oz (I wonder why?) and let all of the world's refugees come and join us in a modern day utopia where we all live in tiny houses growing our own fruit and vegetables while listening to folk music amplified by wind and solar generators while riding our bicycles along the overgrown freeways once filled with polluting automobiles. And sadly, politicians listen to them, so they get louder. That does piss me off.

Well said sir.

And, when is a convicted felon not a felon? When the “formerly out of public circulation” individual is in California.
We’re so PC and threetarded here it’s becoming fodder for the stand up comics. It’s finally getting me...yep, pissed off.

The cafe across the road from the barracks where I work makes the best breakfast in the world. Well, in my world anyway. At $23 plus coffee it's not cheap, but well worth the money. My only problem is that with my new tiny tummy I can only eat about 5 bucks worth before I'm full.

Despite telling the waitress that it was lovely, she and the chef looked pissed off that I didn't eat more, which in turn pissed me off. Below are the "Before" and "After" pics. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I do ask for a doggy bag for some meals Frank, but apart from that magnificent sausage, I have no desire to warm up the rest of that stuff for a future meal, in my opinion reheated food is the pits. ;D

Terry, I have the same problem sort of. I am little at 5' 5" 130lbs and on my big trip this year to South Dakota and several other states the portions are so big that I am lucky if I can eat half. Then it seems like they are upset because I don't take it with me. I am not fond of leftovers especially when it has been riding around in my saddlebag in the 90 degree heat for half a day. :P

Yeah mate, I go to a chinese dumpling restaurant quite regularly and sit down for their pan fried beef dumplings. They know me now, so along with my plate of dumplings they bring me a takeaway container for my leftovers. I drown them in soy sauce and hot chilli oil, and let them marinate on the front seat of my car then zap them in the microwave for dinner. They're one of the few exceptions to my "no reheating" rule. ;D

I have learned to eat some leftovers cold and they are not bad. Greasy foods generally are not among those I will eat cold.

I have a 32 ounce (liter) nagalene bottle that is in my bike's panniers (V-Strom 650 Touring) to handle bringing a to go drink with me if I take the bike on a ride and get lunch or dinner while I am out. Food safety issues...sometimes you just can't safely take the food with you if you can't properly store it.

Pack a small cooler. Well an Oscar actually takes a lot of  room, but works well as you can put block ice in it. It will last around 2 days. Being able to eat a sandwich when you want or have a cold drink, is handy. And can save a lot of bux on the road.
2/3 the size if an Oscar would be better room wise, and many now cool electrically.
I had a cooler mounted like a saddlebag, did not get in the way so much.

I've been brewing my own alcoholic ginger beer over the last couple of weeks. I think I'll start a thread. Anyway, the first batch (23 litres) has been a bit of a problem, in that even though I've added plenty of yeast and plenty of sugar, no bubbles have been coming up thru my airlock. I made some more on Thursday, and I can see that it's happily bubbling away, whereas my week old brew doesn't seem to be doing much?

I just tested it, it tastes OK, and my hydrometer says it's kicking out 5% alcohol, and it doesn't taste too "yeasty", so I just dumped another packet of brewers yeast into it, and I could see that straight away it was bubbling on the surface, so I'll leave it another week before I bottle it. I think the problem is that the brewers yeast should have been refrigerated as soon as I got home and instead I left it out overnight before I dumped it in the mix, and probably killed it.

No biggy, as long as it's nice and fizzy (and alcoholic) by the time I'm ready to start drinking it, life will be good. Or, alternatively, if it isn't nice and fizzy, I will be pissed off. ;D

Just stuff the left-overs into your scrote wallet; that should keep warm until you're ready to eat again. ;D ;D

Just drop an Alka-Seltzer in it, then you can pre-cure your hang over and plenty of bubbles.....win/win👍

Thanks for the advice guys, I'll keep it in mind. I just had Uber eats drop off some Chinese dumplings, which I'm washing down with my home brew. It's not bad, but it'll be much better in a few weeks. ;D

Ha ha, nah, they were good Dave. And remember, if you've ever had a home delivered pizza, you're as much part of the "problem" that you're pissed off about as I am. "Let he who hath not sinned, cast the first stone"......... ;D

Ha ha, I don't feel guilty Dave, I'm creating employment, and while only foreign "students" would rather work than go on the dole, it's nice to think I'm keeping them in curry and kebabs. ;D

Wednesday, I drive my new-to-me 2014 Chevy Sonic turbo, with less than 12,000 miles the 9 miles to Prescott Valley, and stop by my bank. Ten minutes later, I back out of the parking space, press the brake pedal to stop before shifting to drive, and the pedal is stiff as a rock!!??? I had to really push down on the pedal to stop, when it's always been extremely sensitive before. It's a lack of vacuum to the brake booster for some reason, even though it has an electric vacuum pump. It's happened a couple of times since then, thankfully always at very low speeds, but it's not very confidence inspiring. I've found some reports on the net of similar problems, but there is no recall, yet. >:(

Today GM announced a recall for 3.4 million heavy trucks and SUVs for EXACTLY the same problem!!! The "fix" is apparently to re-program the computer to switch on the electric pump sooner to maintain vacuum???
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!
