Yep, I was wondering the same thing Scott, if anything it’s ramping up on your side of the pond sadly. Stay safe.

What pisses me off? Driving 3 hours to borrow a cam cover gasket from a mate so I could finish my K0 engine, to return home to find a new full gasket kit in the same spot I looked for it at least 10 times. Gotta love Alzheimers...... ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

It's the garage gremlins Terry. Didn't you hear them laughing their azzes off at you? Didn't you see the flash of their little gremlin cameras when they captured the look on your face. I tell ya those little bastages are very skillful at putting stuff back where you just looked. I hate those little guys, if I ever capture one I'm going to torture the little sob until he tells me where ALL my stuff is. Heck he might even know where EVERYBODY'S  10 mm sockets are. Keep your eyes peeled!

Jimmy, do you remember the Olympia Beer commercials with the pesky "Artesians"? Olympia clamed to use water from artesian wells, and the ads were quite humorous. They had a promotion where you could buy a six-pack and get an "Artesian sleeping bag" with it, which was an insulated soft six-pack size bag, complete with a "stuff bag". My girlfriend's sister and her husband gave me one in the early '80s, and I've used it on many bike rides, both on and off road.  ;D

The Olympia commercials were funny, like when the groundskeeper at a golf course stated "I've never see them, but I've seen their wet footprints". About that time, the sprinklers come on, soaking the groundskeeper.

I looked for a week for a sbc crank pulley spacer, I ordered a set of three and later that day, there they were, hanging on the outside of a cabinet from  a magnet. There's 3 or 4 there now.
Today I noticed DSS and Yamiya lost almost all of their K0 seats and 4-4 pipes.

Whaaaaaaat? Tell me it aint so Don, I’m cheaping out and refuse to buy a set of #$%*ty rust prone repro pipes, but I do want a seat, and was waiting for payday after melting the cc on other K0 parts. Fcuking bikes, I’d be rich if I was a cage jockey..... ;D

Ha ha, magnificent mate, I know my FJR1300 stole my 1/4” drive 10mm socket and wont give it back, and I lost my 3/8” drive 19mm socket under my workbench last week, so I won’t see it again until I convert the “sheltered workshop” back into a patio for our annual Christmas Eve BBQ, Covid willing.... ;D

Very true men, when I was building my K2 Bitsa, I knew I had bronze swingarm bushes, pulled all my tubs out, couldn't find them, gave up, bought a big chunk of (bloody expensive) phosphor bronze, spent all afternoon turning up a set in my lathe, then a couple of weeks later, found 3 sets in 3 different tubs. Those fcuking Garage Gremlins #$%* me to tears............ ;D

I've been coating the new repro pipes with Eastwood inside the exhaust paint. It has an 18" tube with the 360* spray nozzle on the end. I tape over the end I'm not coating and then reverse the procedure. The worst part is painting your new shoes when you try to check your work. I rotate and tilt it a lot and I'm convinced I get the internal baffles coated. Pour out the extra, let it set for a day and bake with a heat gun. Replace the inserts and they're good to go. I may order a set of busso mufflers this go around.   Vietnam has a lot of seats. I'm welding my old seat pan and see how that goes.

Thanks Don, I remember my cousin (the world’s best mechanic, IMHO) telling me to run a little low smoke 2 stroke oil in each tank of gas every now and then so that the greasy smoke coated the insides of the pipes, and he never had a set of pipes rust out. It made perfect sense to me, I’ve never seen a two stroke exhaust rust from the inside out. ;D

Thanks Frank, I do enjoy machining up parts, but what pissed me off was having to wait until Monday when the engineering supply store was open so I could buy a chunk of phosphor bronze, when I knew that I had new bushes that those fcuking Garage Gremlins were hiding......,. ;D

Terry, I run the synthetic 2 stroke too but I use it to defend the gas tanks mostly, The exhaust coating is just a bonus.  Come to think of it, maybe that's why the 78 Goldwing still has a nice exhaust, at least the left side gets oiled when I leave it on the side stand.

Don't be too fussed men, if you've looked after yourselves reasonably well, you'll be good for another 20-30 years. My mother is 92, still going strong , still living at home, just finished a university degree last year (oldest graduate of Melbourne University) still cooking for herself, and just has the local council organise gardening/mowing etc.

She was nominated for "Senior Australian of the year" and made the top 4 Victorian finalists, but was beaten by a Vietnamese woman who started an "Australian/Vietnamese friendly society". (in other words, a government funded building for old Vietnamese folks to play cards in) No biggie, Ma was still interviewed for the British Broadcasting Commission's (BBC) "The world's 100 most influential women of 2020". The Vietnamese lady didn't get a look in. :D

So what's pissing me off today? I painted my K0 tank and ran out of Candy red before I was completely satisfied. It looks great from 10 feet away, but until I can get another can of red, I won't be happy. That pisses me off.......... ;D
