My oldest is shopping around for a college, she has one more year of high school left - and it really pisses me off.  I don't want her to move out in less than two years.  It took me long time to get used to the kids and now what?

As long as they're in school they never really leave, they just go away for short periods between needing more money, hopefully not for legal reasons. I have a junior in college and going to start at the same school next year, so ill have a freshmen and a senior at the same college

I got this fancy oil filter adapter and I didn't have the right 90 deg elbows for running the lockhart oil cooler that I've had bolted up but not been using on account of wanting to run a spin on filter (K&N) and the adapter (Randakk) anyway all week #$%*ing about looking for the elbows and blockoffs for in case I don't want to run it with the oil cooler.  Keeping me from going to work on it. waiting mid week to be paid slowed me down. and that my friends.... pisses me right off !!!

It pisses me off when you get to work on Monday morning and the security guards are flaked out by the front door with their fcuking turtle keeping an eye out for the local crims.
Aside all of this, they leave a few deposits around the area just to mark out their territory.
Next thing, it's gonna be declared a sacred fcuking site.
Isn't it fcuking grand.

Bloke asked if I was a biker.

Dunno what it was...the saddlebag? I was wearing Levi's, a t-shirt and reeboks for fcuks sake!

Told him I have about 15 bikes in 2 countries.....so insane, a collector, or an affectionado....but not a biker.

Gday Tim, actually mate, in Aus you are a biker if you ride a road bike, bikies are the 1%ers, we are the 99%ers.... ;D ;)  Its all in the "er's" and "ie's"..... ;D   I can see how that could piss somebody off.... 8)

Thanks guys, and I'm sorry I pissed you off with my reference to the "Diff" Dave, I don't know what else to call it ("Final Drive Assembly"?) where I can shorten it to 4 letters (I'm a 2 finger typist) and still have everyone here understand it? Would it be OK if I just keep calling it a "Diff" even though we know that's technically incorrect? Anyway, sorry mate.

Thanks Pete, a lot of folks don't know that you can disassemble a CB750's fuel cap. Ron, (MCRider) didn't know until I told him, after he went to great lengths to replace the seal, which is a snack once you pull the guts out of the shell.

Blue, I like the idea of a toggle switch, and I think that's what I'll do. There's a big hole where the OEM stereo was, and I'm gonna make up a filler panel with a clock, volt gauge, oil pressure gauge, power outlet etc, so I'll add a toggle switch for the fan while I'm at it. I haven't noticed a problem with the cush drive yet, but I'll check it out. The bike's done 94,000 miles with no maintenance in the last 10 years, so it wouldn't surprise me if it was stuffed too.

Tim, good to see you in print mate, and I'm disappointed too that I didn't go and drink some beers somewhere along the way. I was watching the time as I was hoping to get back home before the wife returned so I wouldn't have to get her to move her car so I could get thru, but sadly I spent all my drinking time on the side of the road, and when I got home the wife had just arrived, so I still had to go thru all the rigmarole of moving cars to get bikes into the garage. Ironically though, I passed 2 "Random Breath Test" stations that the cops were setting up, so I might have been lucky that I was sober. I did have a couple of scotch and dry's when I got home though, which was nice.

Hey Dusty, I sold the GS1000 before Christmas, but the buyer (who I've been yacking with on the 'net for years but have never actually met) owns 40(+) GS Suzies, including several race bikes, one of which was over $100K, I believe. He was in no rush to pick it up but he's paid me for it, and he said I can ride it all I like until he picks it up, which is good, because the club permit is good for a few more months. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Fair cop Terry. Bikie v biker.

Should have known that since the bikies are now criminal organisations in the QLD lol

I've only been breath tested twice here. Fabulous force in Queensland set up a check on the only road in and out of our subdivision.

Went to drop off one of the grandchildren at his home. Blow in the tube good sir.....

Sober....   .00 have a good night sir

Ten minutes later. Same stop same cop. What did he think? I'd drained a whole bottle in 10 minutes? Couldn't possibly gotten drunk in 10 minutes!

Pissed me off!

G'Day Mate, if it's a cooler adapter you can't block the elbows off, or it'll starve your engine of oil. You'll at least need to run a piece of hose between each of the elbows, or you'll blow up your engine, which will no doubt piss you off? Cheers, Terry. ;D

Sorry Dusty, can I send you something else? I'm about to install a 650 (673cc actually) into my CX500, with a '77 'Wing front end and spoked wheels fore and aft, Mikuni 34mm carbs and straight thru pipes, could I send that to you perhaps? (After I've ridden the wheels off it, of course......) ;D

Terry, thought I would find you in here. I have  a koni question. I got a smoking deal on some 76p-1296. I am in the process of rebuilding them. I have two questions for you if you don't mind. First, I disassembled the bottom "dampener" with the little screw and the three discs?? anyway, how tight do I put that back together. It seems like the screw tightens the disks down and the nut is there to keep it from backing off? Am I right and if so approximately how tight on that screw. Second, how much fluid, what weight/ type do you prefer and I also read somewhere that there is a difference between fork oil and shock oil. WTH? Thanks in advance!

Mate I'd say that turtle would've ended up as tucker.
This is a common scene in the mornings.
Empty VB cans & human crap everywhere keeps the council boys busy in the morning.
They do a good job cleaning up but they can have it.
There's a kids playground and a nice shady park across the road which looks like a battle field sometimes.
You probably saw similar scenes over at Nhulunbuy mate.

G'Day mate, I can't remember if I've ever gone as far as dissasembling the discs, so I won't BS you, I just don't know? You need 85ml (cc) of ATF for the 7610 series Koni's. Cheers, Terry. ;D

F#cking line trimmers piss me off.  I finally got mine back off my old man after him having it for the past 3 years or so.  The only maintenance he had ever done to it was add fuel, it even still had the same line in it I put in all those years ago.  Anyway after giving it a good going over and some fresh fuel, I had it running quite well.  15 minutes of trimming later and the bloody thing bogs out and dies.  Tried to start it again and it reved up and died a few times, checked the fuel tank and it was low so I topped it up.  Tried to restart it and it fired and died again.  By this time I was starting to sweat profusely and the expletives were flowing quite well.  I played with the choke a little and it would almost run, ok I knew then it was a carby problem.  I yanked the carb and all the diaphragms in it were hard as a rock, but there was also a little crap in the carb, I cleaned it out and hoped for the best, put it back together.  It fired on the second pull and was running great for about 30 seconds, till it bogged out and died again.  Now I have to wait till next week to get some parts so I can fix the piece of cr@p which really pisses me off.  I was very tempted to put the full tank of fuel to good use, by using it to set fire to the god forsaken piece of sh!t.

You should have burned it Blue, I had the same issue with my little Kaz that I've had for the last 30 years, the foam filter turned itself into oily mud and was getting sucked into the carb, making it run like shiite.

I cleaned it out and got it running OK, but I decided that after 30 years it was time to lash out, so I bought a new Chinese one from Aldi. I've only used the Aldi one twice, but it starts up right away and works, and that's good enough for 99 bucks, or whatever I paid for it.

We've had a bit of rain lately, so I might have to do some weed whacking shortly, I just have to be careful with my back, the constant traversing of my upper torso is no good for it at all. Cheers, Terry. ;D

I mowed last 2 weeks ago, but with all the rain and heat around here the grass is nearly 2' high already and the roundup isn't working quick enough to keep the grass down around the edges, hence why I have had to revive the anti-christ.  This one is a little Stihl I pulled out of a dumpster about 8 years ago.  I cleaned the water out of the fuel tank and carb put in fresh fuel and it went.  It even had line on the spool, I've had to replace the head on it once, I borrowed the head from the council when I worked there.  Other than that and a few air filter cleans I have never had to do anything to it.  It even still has the spark plug in it that it had when I found it.  So I probably shouldn't complain too much, but it still pisses me off.  Last time I bought one of those carby kits they were about $30.  Which is rediculous when you consider what is actually in the kit.
