We've got a foot of snow in the forecast for Tuesday, that pisses me off.

Fcuking stupid drivers piss me off. I left work at 2pm for my usual 35 minute drive home and arrived 2 hours later. The “Western Ringroad” (one of our main arterial roads) was closed due to a really bad crash (I don’t call them “accidents” anymore because they’re usually caused by idiots) and hundreds of cars had to divert any way they could. My poor little Subaru overheated and I had to pour a gallon of coolant into it before I could re-enter the melee, but it got me home, eventually.

I’ll drive my little truck to work until my new (to me) Ford ute is ready to collect in a couple of weeks, I wish my new (to me) Yamaha DT250 was ready to go, it would have been much easier to get around the miles and miles of cars that were moving at a snails pace, all because some d1ckhead was too impatient to beat the traffic. Cops, fire trucks and ambulances going in every direction, they must have been more pissed off than me, God bless them.

That foot of snow on Tuesday was downgraded to 1-3" at the last minute, that pissed me off just a little but I got away without shoveling any snow.

Water pump in my daily driver let go today after work on the way to testing for a better job.
Ended up making it on time after a jog and speed walk. I didn't feel so good about the testing, idk if I was short to many answers or just stressed from the morning and how it was going.
waiting till later today to see if I passed. They call and ell me pass or fail. If i pas i have to go back to a welding test. Uphill stick. I've gotten so used to TIG nowadays I have a bad tendency to long arc welding stick. I have been welding stick on scrap around the house to prep for it though. If i make it that far.

Water pump is over a 100 bucks.
I remember as a teen and in my 20s (I'm only 33) water pumps being like 35 bucks and the more expensive ones around 50. 110 for the cheapy and 130 for the better one! I was shocked! and that pisses me off for sure. since when is antifreeze a belt and water pump almost a 200 DIY job?!?!

after morning my sciatic nerve has been catching so even after the hours it took to drive home without overheating the truck I couldn't get any restful sleep bc my back twinged every time I moved.

I feel your pain mate. Today was a nice warm day so I took my Yamaha DT250 wheels over to get new tyres, tubes and rim bands. The price was about $100 more than I expected but still cheaper than a lot of other tyres I’ve been looking at. Had to drop them off and collect them this afternoon around 4pm.

Drove over a bit early and stopped at Supercheap Auto to pick up a can of automotive paint stripper. As I walked back to the truck I noticed a little coolant near the left front wheel and thought maybe I’d overfilled the catch tank? Wasn’t overheating so paid it no mind. When I was only a mile from the tyre shop the traffic was really heavy and as we crawled along the temp gauge started to rise. Bugger. I pulled into a deserted car park and popped the hood, and I could see a pinhole in one of the heater hoses with steaming coolant spraying out.

No biggie, I grabbed my tool kit and cut an inch off the hose, but to release pressure I (carefully, I thought) turned the radiator cap and barely avoided a geyser of boiling coolant and steam that shot about 6 feet in the air. Oh well, I shortened the hose and tightened the clamp, then plodded off to a Shell garage to buy a gallon of coolant and a cold drink. Tipped the coolant in, then started the engine to “burp” the system, and all was good again. Still got to the shop in time, picked up my wheels and drove home in pretty heavy traffic with no more cooling issues.

As pissed off as I was, it could have been worse, it could have happened on the freeway on my way home from work on Monday, with nowhere to stop and pull over and no convenient gas stations nearby.

Terry it sounds like you were in just the right place at just the right time! I suppose it could be worse I could not have a second vehicle to drive so while the Dodge is down I'm driving in the old beater 61 GMC.  I do enjoy driving it even though it's a hassle at times.

Thanks mate, I was very lucky. My new(to me) 22 year old Ford truck that I bought from an 84 year old guy 250 miles away was dropped off at the shop where my cousin works yesterday, and he confirmed that it look like new.

It’ll be a couple of weeks before I can jump on the train to my home town to collect it, but I’ve gotten it insured and while I was talking to my insurance company yesterday I discovered that I hadn’t cancelled the insurance on 3 bikes that I’ve recently sold or swapped, so even with the new truck on my policy, my monthly payments will be lower.

Thanks mate, the only advantage of being old is that I can afford to insure all of my many vehicles cheaply, I’d never want to ride/drive anywhere without insurance nowadays.

I just added my 81' Suzuki GS 1100E to my Haggerty policy with a $5000 agreed value and it is $64 a year.

Yep, both my K0 and Z1-B are insured for around $15000 USD each and cost me around $40 USD per year. When I bought my first Sportster in ‘87 it was $600 per year. I ended up selling it because I couldn’t afford the insurance as a young Army sergeant with a wife and a couple of kids. I don’t remember what I’m paying for the insurance on both of my Sportsters now, but it isn’t much.

Found a cylinder liner for one of my PUCH 175s in America for a good price but eBay want more for postage than it cost for the liner . By the time I pay import tax , which they also charge on the postage it is three times the price .

Just checked and their website tracking suggests a delivery date of NEXT Friday. Eleven days for in country delivery. What century are they in?? I could drive to Victoria and back in that many days.

I just mailed one of our clocks all the way across the country to Virginia yesterday afternoon.  At the cheapest rate of $27.80 for a 7lb package it is due there on Tuesday. 11 days is a bit much.

Ex wife just assumes she can modify the visitation schedule to suit her whenever.
In The divorce visitation is at my discretion. And she didn't have to pay me child support. I really feel she should be more than grateful for the time I allow her after her abandoning them before.

So the ex wife. She pisses me off.
I hate it too. She not a bad person. We get along most of the time great. At time too good. But she just isn't that smart.

And with that comes too many bad choices. Hence a 2 year affair being why we are divorced in the first place.

I'm always curious why it takes 4-8 weeks for mail to get from the US to Mexico. Where does it sit for that amount of time? Is someone with a backpack walking it across the border and down to Mexico City? The US mail usually isn't that bad, so I'm assuming something mailed is in Mexico's hands withing 3-4 days. DHL is the only thing reliable.

Anyone work in the postal industry and want to enlighten me?

This morning looking at my checking account online I found 4 debit card withdrawals over the past 3 days from a Courier service in Columbia totaling just over $102. I flagged them for dispute and should hear back in 7-10 days. I'll go in and have a new debit card issued with a new number ASAP and choose a different pin#.

I lost my cell phone once and reported it almost immediately to the phone company and within about 2 hours there were over $250 in calls to Guatemala.  The phone company wanted me to pay, so I told them to pound sand, and that was the end of it.

Back in the 90’s a young Infantry Captain I worked with was issued a new cell phone. He was a Rugby player and flew to Sydney to play a game. He was “on call” so took the phone with him. He stayed at a motel and left the phone in his room while playing. After the game he met a young lady and ended up staying at her place.

He had to get to the airport so asked his mate to grab his bag and bring it back to Melbourne the following day. When he got the bag back, the phone was missing. He rang the motel and the receptionist looked for it, but it was gone. A couple of weeks later I received the bill, for $10K! Someone had been making calls to various porn numbers in the middle east. The motel took no responsibility but most likely their cleaner had stolen it. The poor bugger had to pay off the bill @ $100 per fortnight, and pay for the phone as punishment. I hoped that his “one night stand” was worth it….

They hit me for $10 to issue another card with a different number. The woman asked me all kinds of questions that didn't align with the wording of what I'd done online to flag the transactions and stop all activities with this card number, then she acted like I didn't know what I was talking about until she looked at my account and saw I'd done all of what she'd been asking about. Strike one.

Then she said they will know within ten business days if it was determined to be fraud, the only way I'd find out is to look for the money back in my account, strike two. And she told me that they'll refund the $10 fee to replace the card if fraud is determined. But I'd have to look for that in my account too, sending a text, an email, or making a phone call are all just too complicated. Strike three.

The only thing that pisses me off more than having a sh!tty bank is shopping for a different sh!tty bank.

was that wells fargo ?   they are crooks and thieves !    i dumped them years ago when they wanted $35.00  to make a deposit .   i now deal with a locally owned small bank .  not perfect but i can go into town and talk 1 on 1 if i have a problem .

It's a local bank that has been buying up smaller banks for about the last ten years.
