The Alaska dungies have to measure out at 6" carapace from spine to spine which is about the perfect size restaurant serving . I think Oregon and Washington allow 5."

We would sometimes get into pancake- sized  dungies that would  go 10" or more  and from what the old timers said before the fishing pressure they were common that big and climbing up the dock pilings. Fishing pressure other than me pisses me off when it's not me, and especially when the focusers run your gear.

Found some interesting go-pro crab pot video on you tube...would make good screen saver and appetite stimulator.

BTW- according to spell check  correct spelling of  'fcukers'   is  'focusers.'

Want to know what drives me nutz? The misguided propensity for referring to bikes as "her" or "she". Motorcycles are not ships. Bikes are strong, powerful, precise, fast, noisy, unambiguous, mechanical wonders with souls.

And don't even think about trying the "temperamental like a woman" argument. That's simply the bike's way of saying you're not living up to your end of the symbiotic relationship.

So please, for the love of all things holy, stop insulting your faithful companion by calling him a girl.

That said, I'd be remiss if I didn't add that any post '67 Harley can properly be referred to as "she' or "her" (with the possible exception of the XLCR1000 and the XR1200) as they are in point of fact boats.

We now resume your regular programming........

I don't know about you mate, but I call my bike a she because there is no way I would throw my leg over a he and ride it as hard as I do my bike .  Of course not that there is anything wrong with that.

My Jeep has been rear ended five times. All uninsured drivers. Thankfully all of them were econoboxes, so they just went under the bumper, destroying their car.

Thankfully that's the only vehicle in my family's fleet that's been hit. '00 show Vette, '81 Vette, '78 Ranchero, '12 Jetta, and my two previous El Caminos would all be devastating to get hit.

What really ticks me off is the absurdity of suicides. Not just regular old suicide like you hang yourself in your closet or something.

But the suicide where you jump off the freeway into a valley 300'+ down. Or the suicide where you hang yourself in a park, traumatizing whomever finds you.

I've had 3 of the former in the last two months, and 5 of the latter in less time than that. I don't want to have to drive all the way down into the valley on a bumpy dirt road in a minivan, then carry the gurney over rough terrain, just to pull you out. It's difficult to drive down, and even more difficult to drive up. It's usually a several hundred foot hike off the road to the landing site, and sometimes the gurney can't get there. So we have to CARRY too far over rocks, uneven surfaces, rises and falls, etc. One time even through a damn stream!

And I just can't figure out why people hang themselves in parks. Google can't answer it for me.

How about a public art installation? Something subtle that conveys life and experience. Something just to catch someone s eye and cause a delay to reflect. Suicide is selfish and internal....IDK. get me a govt. Grant and I will do it. I just need an el Camino to move the installation around.

I think just to piss Dimitri off I'm gonna fly over there and hang myself on a stinking hot day, 50 feet off the ground, over a park with a kids playground, using a high tensile stainless steel cable so I can piss myself laughing (in a ghostly way) watching him trying to unhook my earthly remains, while children scream and old people faint.........

Bugger! OK then, I'll think of another grisly suicide method to piss you off. Hey when I worked for the Melbourne City Council one of my jobs was to collect dead animals (dogs, cats, possums, foxes etc) and dispose of them, and I got 4 bucks for every one. Woke up at 3 am this morn, it's 1 deg F outside and 58 and falling inside because the furnace quit. It got down to 50 inside before I figured out the problem but I have to wait till all the HVAC shops open to see if they have the high limit switch I need. Not a good way to start a day but at least I figured out the problem myself.

Pisses me off starting on 2nd shift today with one day notice. Im an early person and waiting till 2 pm to start my job just don't cut it.

And to top it off the HVAC supply shop 45 mins away that said they had the limit switch I needed actually didn't which of course nobody realized that until I show up to pick it up and opened the box to check it out and make sure. Someone had swapped another part in the box or mis-packaged, they didn't have another that was compatible so I have to wait til tomorrow for the correct limit switch to come in.

That's no good Scott, I live in the coldest part of the Australian mainland but I've never experienced temps like that. (apart from 2 trips to the snow when I was in the Army, both against my will, I might add)

Our summer so far has been a bit of a fizzer, we've had the 2 coldest summer days on record apparently (when is Global Warming gonna kick in?) so far this month, but today will be around 70, and as it's my last working day until the 20th of January, I'm a happy camper. Cheers, Terry.
