Installing the replacement engine in my Goldwang (yes, I said wang.........) pisses me off. Man, what a job!
To get the 250 pound monster into the frame you have to remove one timing belt and one pulley, so not having a workshop manual (because they're for fags........) I have to guess that I got the valve timing right, there are pipes and hoses everywhere, more engine mounting bolts than you can poke a stick at, you've got to "jiggle" the output shaft splines into the tailshaft's socket, (ever tried "jiggling" 250 pounds of engine and gearbox? It aint easy.......) there are vacuum hoses between the carbs and the engine that have to be connected, then the radiator, coolant hoses, exhaust, carbs, wiring, etc. Fark!
I've still got 3 or 4 hours work ahead of me tomorrow before I can hit the magic button, which really pisses me off, if it was a CB750 I'd be riding it by now! Cheers, Terry.
