Yeah, if I didn't have to mow I wouldn't either, I've always wanted to pave my entire property, but the wife won't hear it. She has offered to get a lawn mowing service to do the lawns, but I don't want anyone near my garage while I'm not home.

Anything made by Stihl is good, I was given a Stihl blower 10 years ago that was missing the fuel cap and starter cord, and hadn't been run for years, and like Blue, I replaced the missing bits, put clean fuel in it and cleaned the plug, and it's never failed me, I wish Stihl built motorcycles! In fact, I'm pissed off that they don't........ ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I would pave mine, but at the moment I have an acre and soon I'll be moving to a 2 1/2 acre property.  I would hate to see the price of paving that.  I need to get a couple of sheep to keep the grass down and the freezer stocked ;D.

Man, could you imagine what that witch'd be like as Prez? And she's as slippery as they come, whatever happened about the "Whitewater" scandal? Don't get me wrong, Juliar is just as corrupt, just dumber. Cheers, Terry. ;D

Was it Vince Foster ?  Dead men tell no tales either way.  H got 60 mil  from  the A$f-me  union  long after she knew she could not win. Pouring out all that good money after bad, taking their righteous earnings from  sticking up for all the little guys in the workplace. Boy how that does piss me off.

True blue, you shouldve priced the whole carb. A lot of times they are only another ten or twenty bucks. The whole carb is usually a throw away item.

Well I discovered today that I didn't have any brake lights working on my 'Wang. That does explain why I've been honked a couple of times lately. I pulled the switch for the front brake lever and after a little cleaning, got it to work OK.

The rear was a tad harder. I started to strip back the mile or so of insulation tape wrapped around the main wiring harness, and discovered lots of dodgy jointing, including some from the factory. I cleaned all the goop off the wires with degreaser and a rag, then fixed each joint. Because of the size of the bike, I had to keep asking the wife to come out and help me, so every time she'd come out, I'd get her to stand on the brake pedal, nothing'd happen, and she'd go inside again.

Anyway, I cleaned up the harness and fixed some crappy joints, but still no brake light. I'd previously tested the swiitch, and it had worked, but as nothing else was happening I removed the switch and had a closer look. Turns out, if I pulled the little rod a couple of mm it'd work, but if I kept pulling, it'd go off. Weird. I found an old CB750 switch and tested it, and it was fine, so I did some wiring, hooked it all up, and it worked fine.

Sadly after all that good work my "Tail Light" light is still shining brightly, so after 6 hours in my driveway slowly burning the skin off my face and not a hell of a lot of progress, I bravely chickened out, packed everything away, drank 20 beers (that was for Tim) and came inside for a shower. It's Easter next weekend and I've got 4 days off, so hopefully I'll get a few other things sorted before I attempt the 500 mile ride up to New South Wales the following weekend. If not, I'll be driving, and that'll piss me off.......... ;D

The early scramblers   only has brakelight to  the foot brake and not the handlebars.  It came imported to the US that way and passed DOT that way.

Yeah mate, I'm old enough to remember bikes with no front brake light, it was really handy when the cops were chasing me in the dark with my lights off............ ;D

Thats a good point and I'll have to consider.  As far as staying  dead-purist stock or investing in a brake light switch  I'll probably postpone the latter of the two. But that's a good reason not to have it.

Avoiding  a tractor trailer up your butt is a good reason  to find one of these little switches.

Yep, I think brake lights are a wonderful idea, but you should have an optional toggle switch marked "Police Chase" so you can kill all your lights including brake lights if the cops decide to infringe on your personal freedoms.

It probably wouldn't hurt to have a nice flashing light and emergency beacon that automatically turns on if you crash your bike so that the paramedics will find you in the dark and hopefully return you back to health.......... ;D

What pisses me off today is the punk Motherfukkr that broke into my 90 year old mother-in-laws house last night.  Robbed her of just a few bucks and some sentimental jewelry.  She was not hurt, but very shaken up.  She was sleeping and at least did not have to see him.  Detectives are coming out in the morning.  Wish one of us had been there,  guarantee he would have been carried out.

I'm sorry to see this mate, my folks are in the mid-80's and I know that they are concerned that something like that could happen to them. If it did, I'd make sure that the perpetrators disappeared. No cops, no court, and no burglars........... Cheers, Terry. ;D

I did price the whole carb, they wanted nearly $100 for it :o.  One of the fellas in the shop gave me the kit for $17, the boss was out 8).  I fitted it up this arvo and the little Stihl is roaring again, I don't ever remember it having so much power. ;D

Well I heard something on the US newsradio station that I listen to in the car that should piss off my Seppo cousins, about how the state governments are apparently defrauding the federal government.

Apparently, unemployment welfare payments are a state responsibility, whereas disability payments are a federal responsibility, so the individual states (all of them) are putting many of their unemployed welfare recipients on a permanent disability pension, so they don't have to pay them welfare payments.

The states use a company which is just a call centre to "determine" if a welfare recipient is a disability candidate, and the call centre will just call the welfare recipient, ask him or her a couple of questions over the phone, and apply on the welfare recipients behalf, for a federal government funded disability pension.

The currents stats are that 100% of the welfare recipients that have been processed by this company have been converted from state funded welfare to federal funded disability pensions.

The states are happy because they're off their books, the welfare recipients are happy because they get more money on a disability than they do on unemployment benefits, and the call centre is happy, because they get paid for every welfare recipient that they successfully convert to a disability.

Even though they're probably pissed off with the states, the federal government is probably happy that this "initiative" is keeping the unemployment numbers down. (There are currently 14 million disability pensioners in the US, up by 6 million from 2008)

Now apart from the fact that state governments are committing fraud on a grand scale and the federal government is letting it happen, it  would really piss me off, if I was a genuine disability pensioner.............. Cheers, Terry. ;D
