  • So, what do ya wanna talk about today?
I'm pissed off that I can't build my own Nuclear power plant. Fcuking local government regulations, here I am trying to save the planet from that filthy carbon dioxide that Juliar waffles on about by building my own home-grown reactor, and nope, those pencil pushing bureaucrats won't let me.

Fcukers, maybe I shouldn't have mentioned in my application that my reactor will also be capable of producing weapons grade plutonium.............. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Terry,
In vermont we HAVE our own nuclear power thingy
because we are SPECIAL and it was put in before the
state was overrun with long-haired, freaky politically correct
flatlanders.
It pisses me off that , it does.
sort of.

I'm pissed off that you've got a nuclear power plant and I haven't Michel, it's just so unfair! I'm also pissed off that Mick in Darwin has more CB750's and bits in his garage than I have, and his garage is bigger than mine, I think I've got Garage envy! I did enjoy looking at your pics though Mick, I hope you don't mind me browsing your album? Cheers, Terry. ;D

That Prime Mover and Float belongs to NQ Heavy Haulage from over your way Dave.
The boss man was up here in Darwin this week chasing some business.
He bought us feed and gave me a calendar.
There was no dirty girl pictures on it, only pictures of big metal things and that pissed me off.  ;D
Here's a few more.

I bet that bloke in the Toyota is pissed off because he can't get past.  ;D

No problem mate.
I had a brain fart a few years ago and built that big garage from a kit.
Now there's enough projects on the go to see me into the next century.  ;D

Haven't forgotten about the Wang frame photos mate.
Works cut out again this weekend but I'll get to it.

The bros gone back to SA now so I won't be forced into drinking that SA p1ss this weekend.  ;D
That pissed me off.  ;D

I laid it out on the back lawn thinking, yep, that's how she goes.
Well Fcuk me dead said foreskin Fred, the barstard from the bush, the fcuka was upside down.

By this time, I was fairly pissed off so I pulled it down again.
Then it started raining which pissed me off some more.  ;D
So 7 stubbies later, the mongrols up and the cooks happy and a coupla Turkeys under the belt and totally unpissed off now.  ;D

What is the average service life of a solar setup?

Well, if our sun is any example, about 10 billion years.
Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

Here you go mate, looks like the panels are good for 25 years, which seems pretty good. ;D

Yeah, 25-30 years or more but after about 15 or so years they slowly produce less power, not much less but  the amount of power produced decreases with age...

I've thought about getting solar panels on my roof, but after some research, I've given up. Most "quality" 5KW setups like Mick's mate Craig has got costs around $7000, and when you ask the retailers when you'll see a return on your investment, they'll say "in around 4-5 years time".

The problem is, I don't know if I'll still be in this house in 4-5 years, and I don't know that having 20 solar panels screwed to my roof is gonna add to it's value, a lot of people think they look pox.

Anyway, call me short sighted, but if I've got a lazy $7K laying around, I'm gonna invest it in another bike that I can ride now, not in 4-5 years time. And that's why I'm pissed off that I can't build my own nuclear power plant.............. ;D

Craig ummed and ahhed to Terry but when he realised that we wasn't going to be paying any more power bills and would have that amount in his pocket every quarter, he jumped on it, now he's making money out of it.... 8)  I suppose its different if you are installing them for some other bugger to benefit, that would piss me off, although you could probably work out a way to take them with you.... ;D, Where are you planning on moving to..?

Well I don't particularly want to live in Melbourne forever Mick, I'd love a "sea" or even "tree" change before I retire, somewhere where I don't have to move a car or two out of the driveway so I can take my bike for a ride, but the wife is a Melbourne girl, so maybe just a few miles out of Melbourne. Cheers, Terry. ;D

My youngest was pissed yesterday, he's been beating his head against the wall the past couple days syncing the carbs on an old 80 sumtin Kaw Ninja of a friend of his. After an initial bench sync the carbs would be pretty close but any attempt to get them spot on he'd end up with the carbs a mile off and crazy idle. I've been busy on my bike but I just happened to glance over and saw the sync gauges on his #3 and 4 carbs were doing some weird stuff, he got frustrated and said no matter how he adjusted the #2 carb it wouldn't respond on the gauge. Gee that's funny because every time he adjusted what he thought was the #2 carb it was the #3 and 4 gauges that were doing the responding. I ask are you sure it's the #3 carb you're supposed to adj the other carbs to? Yep he's sure so I told him to pull the carbs off and bench sync them again and just leave it, it was during that last bench sync that he realized he should've been adjusting the carbs around the #2 NOT the #3 carb. DOH!! :o. The carbs synced perfectly after he figured that out and that old ninja sounded sweet.

Geez Terry and here I thought that you'd move to a frontier, a real frontier, like northern Manitoba and help the 1st nations peoples get ready for the coming Millennium by showing them how to jump out planes so they could check on all the equipment the gov leaves laying around.

SO PISSED!! I used some thermostat sealer to thinly coat the surfaces of the Goldwing's water joint (see my post about a half dozen back). Directions said to let 'er sit 24 hours, so I did.

Went to fill the radiator for a leak test and...

Pissing water everywhere!!

But, not from the elbow! Got out my endoscope and sure 'nuf, the O-ring was not seated correctly at the other end of the water pipe! GRRRR I had that O-ring in and out a dozen times without a problem, but this time it pinches!

So pull it all apart, clean off the surfaces again, fresh O-ring, properly seated this time, and new coat of thermostat sealer.

Have to wait til tomorrow to test it.
