  • So, what do ya wanna talk about today?
I was pissed earlier today.
Can I still post here post-pissed?
It pisses me off that I don't know the answer to this pressing ? SO
I guess I will post a post.  ::)

Saturday I expect to earn $142 refereeing 5 soccer games 2.75 hour drive from home
with 1st game starting at 8am. Therefore I decided to find a motel near the games,
mainly so I wouldn't be whipped by the drive before making earth-shattering decisions
on the pitch (we're talking teenage female & male players here).

Cheapest motel started at $88, then when you go to book it,
fees, availability etc etc lowest total I could find.....$132. Hmmmm....leaves me
$10.00 for gas, 260 miles round trip.

Pissed me off.

Finally found a hostel to book, $44.40 for 6 hours sleep.
This pisses me off as I never have stayed in a hostel.

peace,
michel

How much tax do you pay on that 142 dollars Michel? (or shouldn't I ask.......) Hey if the hostel is charging you "by the hour", tell them that you only get a couple of hours sleep per night and ask 'em for a discount mate! Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

Who let all these Americans in our thread, did you leave the door open again Dave.  That pisses me off.  But not as much as mowing the bloody grass.  We had a public holiday here today for the local show and I spent most of the day on the mower chewing through the grass in the back yard of our new place.  We have 2 1/2 acres and about 1 1/2 acres of that is reclaimed land.  Until 5 years ago there was a large dam in our backyard and the grass hasn't been cut since it was drained.  So the ground is quite soggy because it has never had a chance to dry out and the grass was bloody thick.  The poor mower had its arse hanging out most of the day for most of it I was using every one of the 14.5 horses and I got it bogged a number of times.  Now that job is done I might treat it to a new set of blades, a new deck belt and a fresh load of oil.
Welcome to the all Aussie Boys mowing club mate.  ;D
Been mowing the 5 acres for over 20 yrs now and it  pisses me off.  ;D

It's the fastest way to turn into a sunburned alco.  ;D
But there's nothing wrong with that.  ;D

I've lost count of how many ride ons  that I've wrecked over the years and they're still on the top of the list of things that piss me off.  ;D
Mowers and Fkn torches.
Aside those 2 things, lifes pretty good.  ;D
If I was you
I'd be worried about me.

This old ride-on is my uncles old one, he gave it to me after he backed into it with his cruiser.  The bonnet was smashed and had a few other cosmetic issues but it runs like a champ and cuts a nice neat lawn.  It doesn't like cutting down grass that is over 6' high whilst wading through 4" of water though.  It did stuggle with that a little.  It did a great job at our last place it was a little over an acre.  Hopefully next time I mow the ground will be a little dryer so the poor old MTD doesn't have its arse hanging out so much.

I am not sure, as in Vermont they give you a running total and pay you at the end of the season, June 26th.
It is a financial strain for me to come up with gas/food $,
but the wife keeps saying,
"Here's some $. "Now how long will you be gone? Do you have to come back?" etc etc
Wit from the wife is sometimes trying,
but after 27 years, or is it 29 years ,
whatever, who's counting?
I have learnt to grin and bear it until I get a real job,
someday.
THAT pisses me off, ie, no Real Job for 3 years
just part time occasional home renovations,
bike repairs/sales and futball.

SO,
if I renouce my American citizenship and become a Canadian again,
will I be all good in the eyes of the Aussie pissing contest thread?
It pissed me off I even have to ask.

The best ride on that I've had so far is a John Deere.
It's taken a fair bit and they're fairly easy to work on.

It's got the B&S 20hp V twin and handles the long stuff pretty well.
The Cox  that I bought new about 12 years ago was a POS from day  1.
It didn't have a stubble holder like the JD which was a piss off.    ;D
If I was you
I'd be worried about me.

I have a John Deere 66 which should've curled up and died many moons ago. It's probably the cheapest and most basic rider mower JD ever made but its simple design makes it easy to fix which thoroughly pisses off the local JD dealer who's always trying to sell me a new rider.

No point putting a stubbie holder on my ride on Dave, it vibrates too much and makes the beer go flat in 30 seconds.  I just put it in a stubbie cooler and hold it between my legs ;D.  Mick, my old man has a Dear John, it's not bad and can handle the heavy stuff better than my MTD, but doesn't give as neat a finish as mine ;D.

One thing I learnt was that the beer gets hot and goes flat real fast so the solution to that is to put a Wild Turkey in the stubble (Fkn predictive text again Dave) STUBBIE holder.   ;D

You can buy a JD service kit for about 60 bucks with all of the filters, plugs & oil & a set of blades is about 45 bucks which rattle off with an air gun in 5 minutes.

It's not  a bad mower but they still piss me off.  ;D

I don't drink bourbon anymore, I find when I do I can't walk the next day.  My back flares up something fierce, thankfully beer doesn't have the same effect ;D

JD's are one of the best mowers on the market, but mine's better, it was FREE ;D ;D ;D.

I agree with that mate.
The piss used to make my back flare up and it still does if I cut loose on it but you learn about that the hard way.

Thankfully you get to know what works and what doesn't.
Mowing does the ol' back in as well which pisses me off but it has to be done.  ;D

The stubbie holder is an Aussie icon for putting your can or bottle of beer into.
It keeps   'em cool and if you're seen in public without one, nobody will talk to ya!
That pisses ya off.  ;D
