Thanks guys, I just picked up my son from the Airport and I'm now two litres of Bushmills richer, so I'm feeling no pain..........

Andrew, I am going to contact the fcuking council about this, I'm really pissed off that that piece of road is so bike-unfriendly, it's a problem that we have had issues with hoons (20 somethings living at home with mum and dad and spending 50,000 dollars on their VT Coomodores and Nissan Skylines etc) so there are speed bumps everywhere, and I took that route home so I could ride around the smaller speedbumps rather than ride over the big fcukoff full length speedbumps in my street.

I don't expect that they'll do anything about it, and that pisses me off too, but at least I'll be able to vent at them for awhile. Cheers, Terry,
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

A little story to illustrate my life as a software developer.

Them: Please, get me a car. A big, fast, fancy, comfortable car.

Me: Okie dokie. Here's your 1959 Cadillac. It's a beauty.

Them: Oh, that's too old. I want something modern.

Me. Ok. Here's your Maybach. State of the art, top of the line stuff.

Them: Oh no! That's waaaay too expensive. Get me something cheaper.

Me: Ok. Here's your Toyota Avalon. Stone-dead reliable and all the luxury and power you'll ever need.

Them: Come on. That's dull. We need something flashy and sexy.

Me: Ok. Looks like we need something custom. We can have something built to exactly meet your needs and within your budget but it'll take about 6 months to build.

Them: That's way too long. You people are just impossible to deal with.

The End.

Try explaining a points ignition to a late teen or early 20 year old who's had limited or no mechanical experience. I've got a couple of young guns at work who are interested in the 73 cb500 I picked up a month or so ago and I told them they must be aware that older vintage bikes are a lot higher maintenance than newer bikes are and if they want mine then they better learn how to set points and other basic skills. The looks on their faces was "huh?" Then they ask "does that mean it's no electrical?"  :o

Yeah BG years ago I managed a bike shop and of course spring up here is insanely busy for a bike shop so we were overwhelmed this spring so I had to hire someone to help, like a fool I hired a 1% wanna-be, having grilled him about his mechanical ability and knowledge about bikes (he was the best I could find) Jesus Christ on a #$%*ing crutch, [no sport, we don't cross thread plugs with a ratchet we use our fingers to start the plug, no we don't try and separate triumph engine cases with a chisel, and no we don't grab a dangelling spark plug wire (that only happened once) of course then he refused to have any thing to do with electricals, and then we don't tell customers that they are driving #$%* because it's not a harley] he was a teenager and I was a fool. Duh and huh were common words.

Thanks guys, I've been away for the last three days, but thanks to good ol' Daylight Saving, it was plenty light enough to do a little work when I got home tonight, so I removed the clutch cover that the brake pedal went thru when I dropped my new (to me) Yamaha FJ1200 on Monday.

The hole is only small and I did attempt to "solder" it with some special alloy rods I've got, but I couldn't get the base metal hot enough with my propane torch, and I'd run out of oxy for my oxy/acetylene welder, so I gave it the arse and dribbled some JB weld into it, and put it in my industrial oven to help it cure.

It should be set up nice and hard tomorrow, so I'll shove it back on and go for a ride!

Oh, and I'm pissed off because I'm taking some "weight loss" medicine that blocks fat from being absorbed into my system. Good news is that I don't have to starve myself, bad news is that the fat has to go somewhere, and I'm too frightened to fart, in case I "follow thru".

I've been spending a lot of time in the crapper of late, but luckily the latest edition of "Australian Motor Cycle Trader was delivered to my door today, so I've got something to do while clutching the toilet seat................. ;D

Thanks Guys, my aches and pains are bearable, although I banged my left knee on the steering wheel of my Ford Ranger work truck yesterday and it hurt like buggery. Actually my old friend George Bird corrected me once and told me that nothing hurts like buggery, but I digress. My knee still hurts, which is weird.

Anyway, it's only 07.25 as I type this drivel, but I'll go out to the garage a bit later and see if the JB Weld has set, then I'll paint and polish that cover and stick it back on. The weather is cold and overcast (which sucks for this time of year) but hopefully it won't rain on me again, I'm a little "gun shy" right now......... Cheers, Terry. ;D

I scored a McCulloch Super Pro 118 chainsaw (1990's vintage) in mint condition. It probably was used once, maybe twice in it's life, and is in mint condition. I always thought that McCulloch chainsaws were crap, but apparently the bigger ones were made in Germany by Dolmar, and are very good quality.

This thing is a beast, it's 118cc's, produces around 8HP and is very heavy. Mine only has the "small" 3 foot bar on it, but you could put a 6 foot bar on it, "back in the day". It's the first 2 stroke I've seen with a decompressor, and even with that operating, the compression is enormous.

I'm pissed off that I don't have a tree to cut down, so I can test it out.......... ;D

Well, I woke up this morning feeling pissed off for no reason at all.  ;D
It was a bit early to crack a coldie so I thought that I'll fix this up and went for a drive to Target and bought a brand new Arthur Dunga T Shirt to cheer meself up.  ;D
Jobs Right.  ;D

Anyway, as the day progressed, it got hotter and hotter and the enthusiasm started waning very severely.
I was listening to the sheila on the radio at five thirty this morning and she's saying that Darwin was supposed to be getting a good bucketing of rain through the day.
That was a fcuken lie just to start the day off.  ;D

Plenty of cloud and plenty of sun but no fcuken rain.
Pissed off.   ;D

So by mid afternoon, it was getting fairly tropical, so I loaded up the esky, grabbed me blow up whale (cos the missus won't let me have a blow up doll  ;D) and jumped into the pool to cool off with the fcuka.  ;D

Well wouldn't ya know it, the fcuken whale got a blow out in the tail section and I went arse up into the water with my stubbie and smokes.
That's it, had enough now and properly pissed off.  ;D

If I was you
I'd be worried about me.

Yep, some mower shops are dodgy Dave, but not all. I've got Dad's old mower here, it's a Victa with an electric start. Dad couldn't get it to run so he'd take it to Bruce Crane (drunken arsehole) who'd start it and charge Dad 50 bucks. Dad would take it home, and it wouldn't start, so he'd get a pro in and pay him another 50 bucks. Eventually he gave up and bought a new mower, and offered me his old one.

I took it to Seymour mowers, and they gave it a service, replaced the blades, plug and filter and changed the cracked carby face-plate that was sucking air, (why it wouldn't start for Dad) and replaced the battery. All up, it cost me 120 bucks and in the 9 years I've had it, it's always started and only needed a couple of sets of blades.

While I wouldn't piss on Bruce Crane if he was on fire (in fact I'd piss beside him just to further annoy him) Seymour mowers is (or at least was) excellent. Cheers, Terry. ;D

As lovely as that whale looks, I reckon risking a pack of fags while trying to balance on that fcuker is just asking for trouble. Can't Mick just get a lilo with a built in ashtray? What about a small boat? ;D
