You're buying a hearse mate? You starting up your own business? Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Well I had some family issues to sort out yesterday (sometimes being an orphan seems mighty inviting.........) but this morning I remembered to buy my ticket to the Island Classic celebration dinner, at the Phillip Island race circuit in January.

The lovely Leanne took all my details, then asked me where I'd like to be seated and I told her that I'd like to be seated on Brian's table, and she told me that his table was full? WTF? How small are these bloody tables?

Luckily for me I have no shame, so after I burst into tears and tearfully told her about my miserable life, being born to a family of honest, hard working tea-totallers, being raised in the Catholic religion but never being sexually abused, serving 36 years in the military and never being "baastardised", and being married to the same woman after almost 35 years together Leanne couldn't take it any longer and promised to get me on Brian's table if I'd stop talking, even if I have to lay across the table naked, with an apple in my mouth. What a wonderful woman!

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the night, drinking myself stupid and boring the pants off anyone sitting within my general vacinity, Pete making sure that I don't drown in a pool of my own vomit, Brian tucking me in at the end of the night, and laying on the hallowed ground of Phillip Island race circuit, looking up with wonder, at the millions of stars shining down on motorcycle heaven, woohoo! Cheers, Terry. ;D

That's just hurtfull Pete, as much as the beautiful Ev is a fine woman for sure, I've never cut another man's grass, and never will. In my defence, I was more interested in drinking yours and Brians share of the free booze! ;D

Now what pisses me off, is spicy food. It was 40 deg C yesterday (104 deg F) so when the thermometer in my steel garage reached 46 deg C (115 deg F) I decided that I'd take a break from Mike's engine rebuild and take the wife out for lunch.

I'd just had the aircon in my amazing 450 dollar Subaru re-gassed, (285 bucks, ouch, but worth every cent) so the 5 minute drive over to Epping Plaza was lovely. We walked into TGI Friday's and just as I ordered my first pint of Bulmers Cider, the fcuking power went out! Fcuk! We hung around for another 5 minutes or so, drinkless, but things weren't improving, so we left.

Next door at Nando's, things weren't looking any better, so we moved on. Around the corner we found a Tex/Mex restaurant, so I asked the guy there if they were still operating? He said yep, he cooks with gas, so he can do anything but a Burrito, and once he assured me that he had plenty of cold beer, we settled in. The place was quite cool inside even without aircon, the beer flowed, the service was really fast (not many people there) and the food was good.

I'd just finished my plate of "Mucho Nacho's" and my second icy cold Corona when the power came on and Jose (well, his real name is Michael, but I was "in the moment", so I called him Jose and he didn't tell me to get fcuked) asked me if I had some room for a spicy beef Burrito, so I did, and sucked down another Corona while I was at it.

The wife had to do some Christmas shopping, so I wandered over to the Epping Hotel and had a pint of Bulmers and played a poker machine while she did her shopping. By the time she came and collected me an hour or two later, I'd just finished the second pint, (or possibly third, for some reason I'd lost count) and was up 35 bucks, so we dropped into Dan Murphy's, where I picked up a couple of litres of icy cold European Cider to quaff as I sat and watched cable TV with the "Swamp Cooler" on for the remainder of my day.

Now I love spicy Mexican tucker, but within an hour or so of arriving home, (the wife insisted on driving, for some unfathomable reason) I was burping and farting like a brewery horse, to the point where the wife and my son (who'd just come home from work) left me to my flatulance driven agony and retired to the other end of the house.

My faithful black cat, Felix, who likes to curl up and sleep between my legs on my leather recliner was being constantly bombarded with the meaty stench, and when I looked down I could see that his little eyes were watering, so out of pity, I put him outside for a little while and watched him as he staggered around in a confused state.  Eventually I found a bottle of Mylanta and skulled it, and after a couple more ear splitting farts, I was healed. Thank God.

Hmmnn, it's pretty hot again today, I think I might have to buy some more Mylanta and do it all again! Cheers, Terry. ;D

Congrats on surviving another working year Mick! I spent 3 or 4 hours out in the garage polishing fcuking CB750 engine covers, what a priick of a job! Being another warm day I was only wearing shorts and a singlet and thongs, so when I came in for a shower I looked like Santa does after sliding down several million chimneys.

I found a couple of icy cold half litre bottles of Kopparburg cider and am now flushing the polishing rouge outta the inside of my mouth. Tomorrow I'm gonna reinstall the top end of the engine, and hopefully it'll be all finished by the time Mike comes to collect it on Monday. ;D

That's ok Uncle Terry - I know you're too much of a gentleman to cut someone's lunch.
