into their Laissez-faire, away from their SOHC's & dungarees,
pissed-off and drooling, with visions of Terry spread out on a bear-skin rug,....
and well that vision just makes me hurl.....

Getting older is really starting to suck, I'll be 51 in a couple months and my body keeps coming up with ways to remind me that I'm not 25 anymore. Yesterday I picked up a 2'x5' piece of 3/8 thick steel plate and tripped over another piece of steel on the floor by my feet so down me and the steel plate I was carrying went. It's hard to describe the feeling that comes over you when gravity takes over and you're just along for the ride, the only thought going through my head while I was going down was "I hope this isn't going to hurt". I ended up with a big bruise on my thigh but other than that the only thing else that was bruised was my ego that is of course before the adrenaline wore off and that's when everything else started to hurt. I made it through the day but woke up this morning having to very carefully think about each move I made getting out of bed because my whole body hurt with every attempt to get to my feet. Had I been 25 and had that fall I would've just brushed myself off and been go to go but not at 50. I did alright at work today until all the pain meds wore off and I've only got 1 day off to recuperate.

I hope the start of the new year is going better for the rest of you than it is for me.

I was starting to feel like that as well, i'm also 50 ,  now i ride my mountain bike hard most mornings {5am weather permitting}and then do an hour of weights every morning , best i've felt in years....

I'm pissed off that I turn 59 in a couple of weeks, which means I enter my 60th year 
Went to the doctors for the first time in over 20 years (due to physical problem that will require surgery) but did the blood tests and all that and apparently I'll live to see a couple of more birthdays,  which doesn't piss me off.
So 59 and still don't have to take any medications, which has gotta be a good thing.....touch wood. Must be doing something right.

Hey Tez, you'll be pissed off with this......I've managed to borrow an enclosed bike trailer, so the R and 750 will be at the island.......it's worked out well for me, I can't ride very far at the moment, so riding over was not an option anyway, even if I'd wanted to.....can't wait, should be a top weekend.

Ha ha, no worries Pete, I hope your health improves mate, I rode my Cafe Racer for about 50 klicks and I had to turn it around as the low bars and rearsets were killing my back, but I've bought a new stock seat and higher bars, so once I've installed them, I'll be right to go again, but any medical issue that would prevent me from riding permanently would destroy me, I reckon.

I got my first bike when I was 9 years old, and I've had bikes continually for the last 45 years, so I don't know what I'd do if that part of my life came to an end? Anyway, that's good news mate, I'll look forwards to checking out your "R" at the Island, are you camping at the track? If you're looking for me, I'll be passed out under Brian's trailer....... Master Cylinders piss me off today. I've been fcuking around all week on my beautiful (to me) Yamaha FJ1200's front brakes. I replaced the discs and pads, cleaned the calipers and flushed the brake fluid, then bled them, twice. I still can't get any decent lever pressure and yesterday I noticed some brake fluid on the bodywork (luckily not on any painted surfaces) so I think the MC is screwed.

Luckily I bought a new MC for another project that looks like it will work until I can buy a rebuild kit for the OEM Yamaha item, but it still pisses me off that I'll have to re-bleed the brakes again once I install the new MC. Poop.

vstroms piss me off!ive serviced my neighbours one before,today we did pads and fluids etc,about 1000 little screws and push in clips to remove half the front fairing to start with,then you have to unbolt and move the radiator to get to one of the forward spark plugs(twin plug heads),then the fuel tank has to come off to do one of the rear plugs and the airfilter,it wouldnt be so bad if the #$%*ing thing wasnt so ugly,he bought it new four years ago,got rid of his gsx750 he had for 15 years,that was easy to do as he only did it like every five years.
