Thanks Bill, it is interesting news. I had to laugh that our outgoing Governor General, Quentin Bryce, a confirmed Republican and member of the Labor Party (and the mother-in-law of "Electricity Bill" Shorten, the leader of the Labor Party who of course are against such things) has accepted her Damehood.

I've got a couple of those badges as well mate that gave me hard time and I'm still not 100% happy with them. (ie Pissed Off)

I can remember something about putting them in warm water to make them more pliable.
What I'm thinking of doing is to try and shape them around an old tank so that they don't scratch the new paintwork.

I bought a set from Joker Machine and they are flat. I was cringing the whole time I was shaping them as I didn't want to screw up the contour or the paint. I also used an old tank as I went along. I very carefully heated them up from the back side with a propane torch and I just took my time. They came out satisfactory far as I'm concerned but you can tell that they aren't perfect if you're really looking hard. For $30 a pop....you would think they would come ready to apply. I don't know about their side cover badges but they are like $100 per set and I like the stockers better anyways.

The stupid trollop of an ex has pissed me off tonight.  She rings me up tonight complaining that I haven't paid child support.  Even though I have the kids full time now.  She got pissed when I told her to root her boot.  Then she started #$%*ing that she has a centrelink debt because I told them that the kids are living with me.  Now it's not her fault, because didn't tell them.  #$%*ing lazy arsed piece of #$%* that should have been shot in the sheets, mind you with how #$%*ed up in the head she is maybe she was then her mother rolled in it.

The set that I got from Yamiya were flat as well mate and they needed to contoured.
They came out ok but I'll have another go at 'em sometime.
It's only when you look down from the top is when you can see that they aren't exactly spot on.



I was chewin' on a brick last night after I stuffed up. 
Tuesday night is the night hat I get kicked off of the Tele because "The Block" is on and I get out voted big time.
So I cruised down to the shed to start assembling the Goldwing forks.
Well I knew that I had a set of genuine seals somewhere but they were nowhere to be found in amongst all of the other goodies. 

Then I found a couple of aftermarket ones so I thought #$%* it, they'll just have to do for now although I wasn't too happy about that idea.
So I fitted the first one with my special fork seal puterinnara installing device, then I realised, you #$%*en dickhead, they were the 11mm high seals and not the 12.5mm high seals that I needed.

Anyway, I rang up the Honda mob here in Darwin and they're gonna get a couple of new seals in an overnight airbag from Honda Oz for tomorrow.
Strangely enough, they were only a few bucks dearer than David Silver so that worked out pretty good.

I still can't find that other set of genuine seals that I've got, and that's pissin' me off.

I walked out to the garage this morn with lit cigarette in hand to fire up my truck when I got greeted with the strong smell of gasoline when I stepped in the garage, the lit cigarette immediately disappeared so I could investigate where that smell was coming from. Underneath my truck (95 S10) sets a big puddle of gas so I push it outside to take a closer look leaving a trail of gas as I'm pushing. I've already had 1 garage fire nearly 15 years ago that nearly burnt the garage to the ground, not a fun experience I can assure you and with the gas tank soaked with gas the truck isn't going anywhere till I find out what's up. What's got me even more pissed right now is that I've got almost 3 weeks of vacation days to play with but employer insists on having 24 hrs notice in order to get a vacation day so even though I may have a legitimate reason for taking a day off to fix this thing I may end up with a "point day" instead. I'll find out later when the boss that makes these decisions shows up for work and hopefully he'll understand the urgency of this and give me a vacation day.

I'm getting pissed off that there are so many f**kers in this world intent on pissing good people off. I'm counting ex's , bent coppers, "Where there's a will there's a relative" sort of dipsh*ts, bad EBayers and generally uncouth persons. Oh and people who have a desire to be just plain stupid, even in the face of patient explanation. And teachers in France, who all seem to be communist and stupid. (I can stand one, but never both).

Tidying up the ebay room today I came across a box of NOS brake pads I had forgotten about. There were a couple of sets for 82-83 Harley Sportster. Some for YFM Yamaha quad and about 4 sets for CB750F1. What pissed me off is that a few months ago I bought new pads for the F1. Doh. At least now I have spares, I just need to remember where I store them. Oldtimers strikes again.

One of the girls at work pulled the pin the other week and until we get a replacement I've been asked to look after the Fly in Fly out airfaires for the boys.
No worries, that's all fairly straight forward.
So I've made a point of checking out what flights are available and then ringing the the fellas to confirm that they're happy with that.

So this morning, I rang this lad up and went through it all with him and he said Yep, that's sh1t hot.
Then at a quarter past 4 this arvo, he rings me up and wants to change the #$%*en flight.

I just bought a 2010 F150 2wd pickup and noticed a Ford brainstorm idea called an "Easy Fill" gas cap, for those of you who own a newer Ford you probably already know what I'm talking about. It's just one of those design features where you want to find the engineer that came up with the idea and say to him "WTF were you thinking?!!". Surely they could've come up with a less complex gas cap than that.
