Yeah Mick, I was driving back from HMAS Cerberus yesterday and got stuck behind a couple of "Grey Nomads" in a Landcruiser towing a van at 20 klicks under the limt, with a "For Sale" sign on it. They wanted $16500 for it, and all I could think was, "That's 100 nights in a half decent fcuking Motel".

Of course, if you're a thoughtless arsehole who loves pissing other motorists off by operating a mobile chicane, then a caravan's a vital tool. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

mick, those fu@kers are  no better down here ..  a few years ago at kawana, we were catching a few decent dart,, anyway these friendly f 'wits from the fisheries dept pulled on on their quads measuring them etc, at the time i dont think there was a size or bag limit.  You could just tell they where hoping to find an under size bream or whiting just so they could puff out their chest and get ya.. These days your flat out even catching a fish of the beach. little own a feed..

And that sir pisses me off beyond recognition...  ken

The mexicans used to come up here from Terry's state and steal all our winter whiting.  They put an in possesion limit on them of 50 per person, trust me you need that many of the little #$%*ers to get a feed.  I don't even know why they come all the way up here to catch bait.  They do taste alright but there's nothing on them.

Anyway long story short, the year the fisheries brought the ruling in they made a #$%*load in the caravan parks in Hervey Bay.  Every other caravan in the park had too many fish in them.  One of the #$%*tards had over 1500 whiting then whinged like a dole bludger whose payment is a day late about getting caught.  From memory he got fined $40 for every fish he was over his limit by.  Made for a very expensive trip.  There is still a few every year who think that they are smarter than the authorities, who get caught.  I only wish they would take the #$%*ers boats.  There was one last year who got busted for having something like 250 whiting, then two days later he was done again, this time with around 400 of the poor little buggers.  These mongrels need to lose the lot, because it is bloody obvious they aren't only catching them for themselves and all they are doing is raping our fisheries.  It's no wonder there have been a few dust ups between locals and these moron #$%*ing #$%*s. >:(

So no-one drives up to QLD from NSW, SA or Tassie Andrew? Or have they already learned about the local hospitality? ;D

Believe it or not Terry, around here at least the grey nomads from Victoria would out number all the other states combined by at least 5 to 1.

We used to catch some nice King George Whiting back home in Sth Oz.
3 hooked on a line was common place.
Arno Bay, Tumby Bay, Port Lincoln and all of those joints on the west of Spencer Gulf were fcuking magic.
And the sheilas knew how to buck in the cot too when you were pissed after a good day out on the water.

Spearfishin' Crays and a cook up  on the beach always won a heart.  ;D

Fcuk, I better stop now, starting to feel young again.  ;D

Mick you got a Fannie Bay? We had a Fannie Bay on Vancouver Island which had a pub one of the 11 pub's that was part of the airmans pub crawl on the Island highway between Nanaimo and the RCAF Comox.
Bill the demon.
Ah #$%* our's is spelled fanny sorry thought that same idiot was through BC and OZ.
Fannie Bay is one of the original areas of Darwin Bill.
It's a bloody nice place and well maintained by the council.
I don't know where the name Fannie came from without Googlin it, but I know what one is.  ;D

When Cyclone Tracy came through on Xmas Eve '74, the joint got nuked, being right on the foreshore of Darwin Harbour.
The old Fannie Bay Pub got blown away but the prison stood it's ground to a degree.
Here's a few photos mate.

Opinionated punk kids piss me off. Yesterday my wife and I rode the 750 to a local ice cream shop and were standing outside near someone elses Yamaha v-twin cruiser while the 750 was farther out in the lot. As we were enjoying our ice cream some kid comes walking up with his parents and says to me "hey mister, I really like your motorcycle" meaning the Yamaha and I say "sorry kid but that's not my bike, mine is the nicer one over there". The kid walked away a bit bewildered but I could hear him say to his dad "but dad, I like that bike (the Yamaha) better". Kids today just don't have any style.  8)

I don't like "Yama-Harley's" at all Scott, and wonder why folks in America buy them? Over here they're cheaper than Harley's and all the Harley "Wannabe's" ride them, but they soon learn that you get what you pay for.......... ;D

Does that apply to the overpriced harleys as well Tez? You get what you pay for? I think the bike is worth about 50% of the purchase price, and the badge the rest.
I laugh at the wannabes too, in fact some are hard to see if they're Harley or not without studying the badge (unless the rider is wearing the obligatory harley branded clothing and has the superior smug arrogant smirk on his wasp splattered face).
They piss me off.

Ha ha, I don't know if Harleys are "worth" more than Jap "pretend Harleys" Pete, and I understand that imitation is the greatest form of flattery, but I just don't understand why anyone would buy a fake Harley?

As for the clothing, well, I've got a Triumph branded jacket, so does that make me a knob? I do wear it on my Hondas, my BMW, Yamaha and of course, my Triumph, but I'll understand if you think less of me for owning it.......... ;D

Mate, I get a branded jacket, or a sticker on a helmet,  but when you see hd branded jacket, vest,  face mask, gloves, shoulder bag, even fkn boots all at the same time on the same bloke on a harley. ......

I guess they buy a harley or an imitation so they can be an individual like everyone else..... ::)

Well I must admit I do like some of the Harley boots Pete, they look like they're good quality and my Aldi lace up work boots aren't brilliant in winter, would it be OK if I bought a pair of the Harley ones, do you think? BMW sell BMW branded riding gear which is really good quality too, but it's out of my price range? ;D

Ha ha, and talking about overpriced bikes, what about CB1100R's? I mean, my $2000 FJ1200 would kick an 1100R's arse, but folks are asking 10 times that much for a good 1100R? That doesn't make any sense at all? What do you think about that Pete? Wouldn't you be better off at your time in life buying a nice Harley, and some branded riding gear? Cheers, Terry. ;D

Actually, the government is concerned about those fcukers pissing off overseas then surviving whatever tribal war they're involved in, then coming home and starting one here. The foreign minister has already said that they won't be allowed back into Oz, but I don't know how that'll work if they were born here? Muslim extremists piss me off. (especially if they ride Yama-Harleys........) ;D
