G'day Kev

Mate, I'd become very disillusioned after being so pedantic with this this install that the focus was on one thing.

And that was to bring the 14 pound sledge hammer to bear and smash this fcuken water bubbler into unrecognisable pieces and teach it a lesson.

Luckily for the water bubbler, there was a lovely cold beer in the refridgerator that settled me down.

The wonders of alcohol.  ;D
If I was you
I'd be worried about me.

new motor parts haven't arrived yet so the 250 motor sits on the bench waiting.
decide to go for a hurl on the mighty 650 and the battery has given up the ghost.
can't go fishing cause a mate has borrowed my 4wd.
pub bike is calling my name so will wander down to the local and bore some poor mug about my sorry tale.

My oldest son came over for a visit today, so after mowing the lawn and showering, I treated the fam to some take-away chook from KFC. When I got home I realised that the fcuckers had short changed me a large fries. The wife told me to go back and get them but I couldn't be bothered, I don't like chips that much anyway, so I went without. It still pissed me off though.......... ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Ha ha, well if I had a bit more warning I would've fired up the barbie Pete, but he just lobbed as I was firing up the mower and there was fcuk all meat in the fridge, so I could hardly roast a pig in his honour on such short notice? ;D

The tomato bushes are going mad now.
I gave 'em a good does of blood 'n bone and water and they liked that.

On the packet of seeds that I bought, there were these pictures of nice big red tomatoes but these are only those little poofta ones.
Well they taste pretty good but I'm pissed off that they told a fcuken lie about 'em with a dud picture on the packet.  ;D

Anyway, after that fcuken Bandicoot attacked 'em the other week, they've come good now.

Now that the Bandicoot has fcuked off (or dead) the fcuken Plovers have decided to come in for a feed.
Charlie doesn't like those swooping fcukers at all and now he's got a buggered paw from hunting the bastards down.

He'll come good again but I know that he's pissed off about that.  ;D

If I was you
I'd be worried about me.

Mick, in hot weather a tomato plant can swallow up to 3l of water a day.  In hot windy weather they can drink 10l a day.  If you are getting small fruit they need more water.  I have also used hydroponic solution in the past with fantastic results.  Also pinch out the side shoots and make them grow up, this will give you less fruit overall but the fruit you get will be much larger  ;D.

Thanks mate, I'll chop those lower limbs off and tidy 'em up.
At the moment, they're growing all over the joint and it's as hot as buggery here at present along with the dry afternoon wind.

The pumpkins and cucumbers and water melons might get a haircut while I'm at it.
We're still getting fruit/veges but it's a battle.

Once the Wet Season rain starts, I reckon that the show will be over.
Then it'll be time to fire up the John Deere and start cutting grass.

I also use bailing twine to run mine up.  Tie it off to the base of the plant and to an overhead frame then simply wrap the plant around it as it grows.  I find it is much easier than stakes.  If I get time tomorrow I'll snap some pics for you.  ;D

No worries Dave.
He got an ear ruffle and a belly pat from Dave, then his red pencil appeared and then he was trying to start his motorbike with his sore paw kicking like crazy while he was getting scratched on the belly.

I reckon that he's almost better.   ;D

Hey Mick, here are the pictures of the tomatoes I promised you the other day.  I've only got 5 plants in at the moment, got another 20 something seedlings coming up.  It is simply two star pickets with an old curtain rod across the top.  The string is tied off to the bottom of the plant and you simply wrap the plant around it as it grows up.  I always leave the string about twice as long as is required so if the plant gets too tall you can lower it down and you just coil the plant up at the bottom.  I had one a few years ago that had a stem about an inch across at the bottom and the vine was about 15' long.  It produced some of the best tomatoes I've ever had.  They were huge, the size of a cricket ball at least, some would have been pushing the size of a softball, and they had basically no seed, they were all flesh.  ;D

Thanks mate.
That's the go and I'll give that a whirl next year.

I put some longer stakes in and cut the bottom shoots off.
They're still fruiting and flowering so I'll wait and see what happens.
The tomatoes are nice tasting buggers even though they're just little poofta ones.

This is the cuttings from the Rosewood tree in my Mud Crab pot.
It was an 18 gallon keg that we found in Uncle Cyril's shed and we cut it in half with the angle grinder.

The capsicums are going good when the fcuken bandicoots leave 'em alone.

The lone watermelon.
I thought that they'd go mad but I reckon that they didn't get enough sun through the day.

Charlie's still waiting for that fcuken bandicoot to drop it's guard and he'll be right onto it.
He knows that the fcuka is still hanging around and he's getting pissed off waiting for it.  ;D

Looking good Mick, also don't forget that tomatoes like plenty of calcium in the soil, it prevents blossom end rot.  I always give them a good dose of dolomite lime and blood and bone to give them a kick off. We caught our pea thief in the action a few weeks back. It was a #$%*ing corella, that mongrel got chased away with a few high speed rocks.  I haven't seen any more damage since. Hopefully he got the message. Mind you I have seen them around my neighbours veggie patch, even sitting on their scarecrow. ;D

The Sulphur Crested Cockys will be here again soon.
I've got a 5 Cornered (Star) Fruit tree in the backyard that will be fruiting soon and those cockys love 'em.
Then there'll be big mobs of Cane Toads, Butcher Birds, snakes, ants, spiders, lizards and maybe a wandering croc if we get real lucky.

The Wet Season rains flush 'em out of the bush.
I'm starting to think that it would be easier to contain a #$%*en Ebola outbreak.  ;D
