Seems nobody pissed off here lately.  I'm pissed that the sky has been pissing down all day so no bike riding on a day off.  That pisses me off.
I'll swap you mate, my back yard is begining to look like the Simpson.  For the last two weeks we've had a #$%*load of storms in our area, but nearly every one has gone round us and given us #$%* all rain.  The only thing we have had is hot dry wind and lots of it.  I've been watering my veggies morning and night, just to keep them alive.  It is starting to really piss me off, when you see a storm coming on the radar and it splits and goes straight round us.

Same here Andrew, all noise and lightning, no moisture, although its as humid as hell.... :o
Yeah, I'll agree with that, I came home from work middle of last week and my shirt was wringing wet with sweat, it looked like I had just stepped out of the shower fully clothed.

Eric
Is there anything more fun than riding? They are between your legs and are quiet when you turn them off.

i'm bloody well pissed off with me. Moi !
Heaps of rain here today in the Gard departement. The school was "inondated". Moving from building to building trying to dodge the torrents from the heavens, I took shelter in a doorway for a while and eventually was joined by several teachers (all female thankfully). We got talking about the weather, and that did not take long, Merde was the concensus. Then they started to marvel at the fact that I am Irish and not English. Marvellous. Being teachers, and naturally inquisitive, they teased me to speak in Irish (as Gaeilge) so I did. I recounted fairly random schit from essays written over 40 years ago mainly involving sunny days, birds singing in the trees and cats playing in the meadow.
Ohh exclaims one teacher in English "and siss wesser is wat eeen eeeenglish" pointing to the curtains of rain. I should have taken the cue from the aforementioned cat, but being in a sort of reverie, thinking of Ireland, I exclaimed with a guffaw "We'd call it pissing it down". Then I discovered to my horror that I was the only person laughing, and all my female teacher fans looked shocked, so I quickly, but not convincingly said in French "but that's  Irish for it's raining cats and dogs".
I don't think I got away with it. The old adage is still valid "You can take the boy out of Dublin, but you can' take Dublin out of the boy".
My new career is fcuked.

No wonder your "pissed off" Kev.

Oh, get them some calus quick. France has coasts, send them out on a commercial fishing boat. Or at least take them to a bar on the coast during a commercial opening where they can hear sailor talk. They'll be pissed off themselves.

Deal breakers piss me off. For about a month I've been trying to sell a 75 gl1000 parts bike on CL and today I got a text from someone interested in it, right from the start I noticed the area code the text was coming from and the # was an Arkansas area code so the first thing I say is "are you sure you really want this bike because I'm not messing with shipping?" That didn't phase him one bit and kept asking questions about the bike so after about 2 hours of texting and emails he finally says "can I pick it up tomorrow?" I was kind of stunned at first because driving from Arkansas to here is no hop skip and a jump but I figure maybe he's nearby visiting relatives or has a friend nearby to get it for him but just to make sure I say "sure you can stop by tomorrow ........... but you do realize I'm in Monticello Indiana right?"

Um-uh nope that didn't occur to him, he thought I was from Monticello Arkansas.    :o

Every year on Thanksgiving, we spend it with my wifes family, which is fine I suppose.(my family is several states away) But her dad always has his old military friend over, and generally the entire day is them talking to each other about $hit that no one else cares about and watching sports. So I pretty much pay attn to the kids and otherwise generally f**k off to other parts of the house, which sort of sucks. It'd be nice to have a holiday with her family where we talked to each other instead of him. Don't get me wrong, he's a nice guy but...I just get bored of hearing them talk year after year, holiday after holiday...

Blah.

G'Day men, well here I am in sunny (read fcuking hot) Townsville. I'm currently making a list of things that you don't need in Townsville, as follows:

1. Hot water faucets. Hot water is unneccessary in Townsville, and anyway, hot water comes out of the COLD fcuking water faucet.
2. Shirts. Shirts are pointless in Townsville, I ironed a work shirt on Sunday night, and within 5 minutes of wearing it, it was a soggy wet bag.
3. Clothes dryers. The temperature in Townsville is hotter than the maximum setting on any clothes dryer. Fcuk it's hot.
4. Jackets. I heard a new employee whining because we didn't provide him with a work jacket. I'll be having a word to HR on Monday about their selection criteria.......
5. Brains. Brains are optional in Townsville, I'm guessing that most people were born with brains, but the soaring heat (at any time of the day or night, fcuk it's hot!) has dehydrated them to the point of non-existance, OR, they have just evolved to a brainless, but generally happy state.
6. Traffic lights. Totally unnecessary, apart from the fact that Townsville folk largely ignore them, there's really not enough traffic to warrant them.
7. Shoes. Once again, pointless, sandals are much smarter, except when Taipans bite you on the big toe in the Strand, as is a real concern here at the moment. Fcuk I hate Taipans........

Hmmnnn, I've just looked at the clock and realIsed that I'm late for my first beer so I better push off, I'll come back with some more things not needed in Townsville ideas tomorrow, when I've sobered up. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

Why could they not find a more imaginative name for the place ? "Ville" is town in French, so in effect the place is Townstown ?? What's that all about ? A joke on a hot day perhaps.
