So much for todays big plans.
When I got to the workshop with the compressor in tow for the fire up test, the boys had their boat trailer sitting on jack stands to replace the wheel bearings after one of them spat it when they went to go fishing this morning.
That meant that the 3 phase power outlet wasn't reachable so I canned that idea for today.
Oh well, it's no biggie.
Then when I got home, the missus said that there was a burnt smell coming from the pool pump shed.
So having a look, it became fairly obvious what the smell was.
Yesterday arvo we had a decent downpour of rain and along with that there was a bloody good lightening bolt and some thunder.
Yep, the capacitor on one of the pumps had it's guts blown clean out and I'm guessing that was from the shot of lightening.
I think that the best thing to do now is to crack a coldie and do a bit on the Postie bike and hopefully, that should unpiss me off a bit.
And I might even crank up a John Williamson song as well.
Geez that's a decent zap Mick! When I was driving the new Terrorist back to Canberra today I copped a storm around Euroa, thunder, massive lightning strikes and it rained so hard I couldn't see where the fcuk I was going. I saw the lightning hit the highway twice, I'd never seen that before, and if I wasn't so fcuking brave, I woulda schidt meself.
I don't think John Williamson could write a decent song about driving in a massive storm in a new Terrorist and almost schidting yourself, if not for your natural bravery and derring do, so you'll probably have to listen to that poofter song "Flower on the water", which makes me chuck uncontrollably every time I hear it, what a fcuking waste of body parts that prick is! No offence to you though mate, living up in the Territory, I can understand that you need to keep in touch with your feminine side.......
Anyway, enough about John Williamson, I think the clothes dryer has finished, I had to do some unexpected laundry when I got in tonight, so I better get that packed away before I hit the farter............
