Two miracles occurred today;

1) The HD dealership had my tube fuel filter in stock. $6.00...little sealing O ring...$2.00. Guess the virus hasn’t affected the sales of those items. But I swear the guy under charged for the filter...6bucks? At the dealer? Sheesh I should brought my cart!
2) The wife sent me out to buy Nathan’s brand hot dogs at the market for the gkids ...AND THEY HAD THEM TOO !

But back to the big market story;
No chickens, only limited beef and pork ribs. No potatoes, limited veggies, no onions. No breads. I found a dozen eggs at the little neighborhood market on the sketchy side of town. I felt bad for the senior people wandering around confounded at the site of the lack of hygiene products on the shelves, and the hoarders. It actually did piss me off...the hoarders.

Fcuking hoarders, should be burned at the stake, using their hoarded toilet paper to burn them, motorcycle hoarders, on the other hand, should be knighted, and given a fat pension so they can continue to turn piles of parts back into motorcycles again........... 'D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Maybe I can trade some of my hoarded toilet paper for a motorcycle .... barter system back in style!

A couple jerks went around and bought all of the hand sanitizer within driving distance, then tried to scalp it on amazon. Amazon shut them down and now they're sitting on 7K bottles. Good, F'em.
 A distillery in the pacific northwest realized they can make hand sanitizer out of left overs from alcohol production. They are giving it away for now, I predict they will stay in production after this is over.

I read where the same thing happened to some guy who's now setting on 17,000 bottles of the stuff after amazon shut him down too.
I told my son that this guy should donate the 17,000 bottles. Next day I read on the net that he donated it to a church after receiving threatening phone calls and even a late night knock on his door. It said the church was gonna distribute 2/3's of it through Tennessee and the other third through Kentucky which was where he and his brother drove a U haul 1300 miles hoarding it up. E bay & Amazon cut of his accounts which he had for the past 10 years as means of income. It said they also had documented approx. 300 sales of his highly marked up hand sanitizers. So I guess the IRS will be visiting him shortly also. He pled stupidity and said he only did all this when the virus was only in China before it went widespread and was declared an emergency.

Seems martial law has hit here in CA. Complete bullsh*t.
The mayor of Los Angeles says “it’s out of love” which we are doing this.
I said it before, somethings not right with this whole thing. All retail closed. Beaches closed...oh please.

This is not my county, but you can bet all counties and cities will follow “LOCK STEP”.

After a couple of beers Dave, do you find yourself accidentally kissing your beer? I found another exploded ginger beer bottle out in my garage today, if that's not bad enough, it's sprayed Ginger Slut all over the other 60 bottles, so I have to wash down each bottle before I put them in the beer fridge. ;D

After months of research, plotting, and speculative development - came to the realization that every size and weight calculation was based off of a different model number.

I got pissed off this morning when all I wanted to do was check my oil level and my side cover blew apart while coaxing it off at the top tab. Got a repair going on in the garage even now.

But did get to ride for an almost two hours with my oldest son on his new Yami TW200. His first bike, our first ride together.

I always like a challenge. JBWeld for plastics in those injection tubes combined with some fibrous tape to give a bit more strength, I think it’s turning out ok.
 Lightly sand and paint and it should be saved. I might loose the “K” decal in the process though.

Looks great mate, I use carb soda and superglue for super strong repairs without the need for tape and stuff, it's easy, and it's instant. But if that stuffs working, well done. ;D

been meaning to ask terrence, do you mix that to a paste first or glue first then soda ?

when i was fixing the zzr i used superglue over drywall mesh ( plasterboard for us southern hemisphere dwellers) to bond the cracks, then cover with 2 part epoxy glue, time will tell if this proves to be efficacious

still have lots of sanding and filling to do on the outside but i suspect i may have some spare time coming up in the near future, hardware shops had better be open though
i blame Terry

G'Day Spotty, I "Vee" the crack/break with a dremel, tip the powder in, and then just drip the superglue in, making sure it soaks thru (you can tell just by looking) and you're good to go, not mesh, tape, or anything else needed. You can also wet sand and paint it. I might break again either side of the repair, but the repair is super strong. ;D

Give it a crack mate, if you want you can buy a commercial product from Seth Efrica "Pratley" that uses a black powder. ;D

Man, your repair technique looks far simpler than mine, but in my case, without the fiber mesh, you’d have to do section at a time no?
I sanded the repair areas, then I blue taped the painted side completely together then cut the mesh to cover the entire area and jelled the entire thing with one shot. First coat of paint is on, I’ll fine sand it tomorrow, and see how it looks.
For smaller simpler repairs, I’d try your process, but what is “carb soda” by another name? I’ve not heard of the stuff.

I have just finished revamping my old Dusting Sidecar so it's ready to bolt to my shiny new (to me) CB750A that Tews so kindly sourced for me some time back.
When I rang to get an update on it's arrival having been told by my agent that it had been shipped some weeks ago I am now told it is languishing in a warehouse somewhere in San Francisco with little likelyhood of seeing daylight anytime soon.
Not a biggy in the grand scheme of thing's at the moment, but I can't help but feel mightily "PISSED OFF" non the less. >:( >:( >:( >:(
The older I get the faster I was.
