John, looks nice. Don't let the F pick on it  :)
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

G'Day John, how are you mate? I've never ridden one of the V4 thingies, what's it like compared to your beautiful F2? Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

V65 Sabre---Hold on tight-- Those were one of the hardest accelerating things out there at the time and still are no slouch. Been looking around for one also a little, just have not pulled the trigger yet. From reading up, some, maybe the earlier ones, may have had an oiling issue to the cams at low RPM causing some wear on them combined with maybe some soft metal not up to snuff. What year is yours?.  Should be a nice smooth Beast !!

Haven't ridden it yet, Terry.  Had neck surgery and am grounded for another month, anyway.  The 86 VFR750 I had was a blast, it would go from 7500 to 11000 rpms in about a second in the first 3 gears.  This one redlines at 10000.  I'm looking forward to getting on both bikes soon.  >:( >:(

EK, it's an 85, and has an oil mod installed.  Has 61000 miles.  I did ride it a little bit last summer, and it's nice.

Is that where they run the extra oil supply lines directly up to the cam areas ?

Correct, EK.  Supplied extra oil to the heads.  Baby's not "in the corner" she's got a direct line out the garage door to get going.  If only I did....

Had to find some way to keep the chocolatey cams from melting! Did you finally get the VFR to another person to love and care for it?

Sounds good John, I've always had a soft spot for VFR's, but I'd really like an earlier VF1000R. I hope your neck heals up real soon and you get some riding in mate! Cheers, Terry. ;D

Thanks, Terry.  Dukie, I got a call from a kid (30's) who remebers seeing one in 86 in the showroom.  He's given it a good home!
