Electrical specs at instruments?
« on: August 03, 2012, 10:53:20 AM »
Currently have a set of instrument clusters apart to get back to working order and paint. While I have them apart I thought I might as well upgrade the lighting And thought of installing an led string behind the number plates. Being as the bike is disassembled can anybody tell me the electrical specs getting to those bulbs? Any other ideas for cool mods while I have them all apart?

BA9s bulbs from superbrightleds.com  are a direct fit.  (120deg BA9s-x-x-xV)
<====got the dark blue ones in mine  :)  white gauge face  its at dusk so there is a little ambient light in the center of the face.
the only mod i did inside my gauge was to repaint the reflector gloss white instead of that OEM light blue/green
here is what they really look like at night

Sorry to make it so uneventful. You are more than welcome to tear apart your gauges, epoxy a led strip in there and mess with soldering the leads into a broken BA9s bulb  ;D
