  • To many bikes-but lookin' for more
Did not read the whole thing---Started good and then maybe like an argument. Anyways from an Old Timer with the ignition switch under the front tank I like to roll into a stop with my engine sounding or idling nice, give my Kill switch a hit, remove my helmet and other etc. and then grab the Key and Go----   ;)  Kill switch Gooood---  :)    PS--Headlights and others stay on when Kill switch is off if you live and ride in the Dark Dingy  areas of Michigan which is good    8)

God almighty, kill switch nazis. Whatever next?

In the time it took to type just one of your posts I could have switched my kill switch on and off and still had time pour a beer and catch up on the Olympics.

So who's the time waster?

when i pull up i select neutral then swith off the key, unless im stopped on a hill or bad camber road or similar i leave it in first and swith off via the kill switch, then i switch off the key and flick the kill switch back to on ready for next start up,i restart in this case with the clutch pulled in first, only in a hill situation though.

Golly gee....... I better not mention that I like to use the kick start on my 550 as well as using the kill switch to turn the engine off.  ::)
Yes the electric start works fine, but I like to feel I'm still riding a real motorcycle.  8)

I always use my kill switch when I stop the bike.  MSF also teaches to use it so that you have your hands on the controls while the bike is running.  Its just how Ive always done it.  Always will.

Since lostmykeys has a habit of twisting handles I'm gonna chime in. Should yours not be bartendertookmykeys? I apologize to all forum members that are here to share info and ask pertinent questions for this indiscretion, but I'm kinda sick of this.
So anyways, mykeyswererightbesidemethewholetimeduhifeelsodumbanddoesanyonehaveanytylenolmyheadiskillingme, use spell check. It's not hard, especially for words like "thier". Coming off like an idiot makes you look, well, like an idiot.
Put a little sign beside whatever computing device it is you use whilst you are thinking of moving the cursor to post that simply says "DON'T DO IT". That may help save bandwidth.

It's just one option.  Using the key or driving it off a cliff will also work.

Don't tell anyone but on my 2010 Triumph I usually us the side stand to shut off my bike.

I don't even know if my kill switch on the CB works.  I think I will check that today when I get home.

 Wow!
Where did you guys find those pictures,I took those a few years ago when I was trying to show the weight capacity of my four cylinder Ford Ranger. The one on the left is my wife and the one one right is my best friend.
I really hope you guys are not being mean.
When I got my cb750f I realised it was not as fun to go up hill with these hot babes as it was with my Z1.
Should I just buy a Hardly Davidson.

Sorry guys that was not my ranger in the pic.
My ranger did not have the feeder window.Man those were good days when you could stop at a fast food place, buy a few bags of burgers and throw them through the feeder window and keep them happy.
Now they are trying to sue me because I moved on.
I'm working on a counter lawsuit against them though because I need money to replace my rear shocks and the fact that I gave them the time of day in the first place.
Did I spell all my words ok?
