I would think here was at least $75 worth of salvageable parts to it. Cases alone are worth that.

...spend another $15 on some ATF and acetone.
Cheap way to find out if it only needs a hone and a re-ring

Ok at it like this.. Dyno cover.. If good 40.00 and up .. Should always have a spare..

 Head and barrels with good fins..if you drop yours...
 Clutch lifter plate 2 or more...
 How long can you wait if you need stuff for yours ?

You just never know. I bought a 750 K7 for parts a few years ago with a locked up motor, it locked up due to setting around too long and improperly stored. The idea was to use the engine as parts for the K3 engine in my kids bike however the K7 aside from it being locked up was pristine inside and in much better shape than the K3 engine so I basically just re-ringed it, put all new seals in it among other things, put it in the K3 frame and it runs fantastic.

It was in a basement in a house in San Francisco. I asked her how it got there, she said she rode it down the stairs!!! The engine never made it to the workbench. She said it ran before it sat for a couple of years. It has rags stuffed in the ports, but my guess is the rings are rusted to the sleeves.

Yeah, I decided it was worth it. She even helped roll it up the stairs on a handtruck, I know, I know, I should be able to just pick it up off the floor, and hike it up the stairs, and into my van...   not gonna happen in this life.

Well, from what I can tell it doesn't really seem to be seized. got it to turn by grabbing the rotor with large channel lock pliers. Hard at first but then made two complete revolutions smooth as silk, but the sticks again, and makes a strange sound like a valve going in/out of a piston crown... bent at the stem no doubt, and can't go back to the seat.
