Tires, advice please?
« on: August 02, 2012, 11:33:56 AM »
The bike I'm building needs atleast a new a new rear tube but the tires them selves are a bit on the eh side. My thoughts are if I'm going to pay someone to take the tire off now to put a tube in only to change it later might as well save some money in the long run and change em now.

So what brands/type would you recommend. I do a cross between highway, street, back country/mountain roads that can have a bit of gravel. And I would like as much longevity out of them as possible. I am also not looking to break the bank.

If your tires are on the "EH SIDE" change them both plus the tubes. You don't want a blowout at speed, especially a front.  I buy my tires here.

+1 on changing the tires. For 100 dollars, your guaranteeing yourself the safety and protection of the only things between you and the road.
